Very excited -- not normally that big of a Champs league fan, but this will be a terrific final. Two excellent teams who are committed to playing attractive football.

It'll be a wonderful game. Been looking forward to it all week.

I think so, too and you were on my mind when I asked. Prediction? I think Rooney is going to shine, scoring twice in a 2-1 win.

Oooh ... I don't know. I have no idea. I will be pulling hard for Man Utd though.

I have loving the football that they have been playing over the past few months. Valencia and Park on the wings have been great. Rooney in that deep lying forward position, love it. Chicarito has been fantastic. Giggs link up play in midfield. And of course, Vidic and Rio in the back with Van der Sar behind them.

It's tough to keep a clean sheet against this Barcelona team so I think Man Utd will need at least two goals to win this. And I think they'll get enough chances to get those goals. They'll be very dangerous on the counter with Valencia, Park, Rooney and Hernandez.

So I expect both teams to score and for it to be close throughout.

2-1 sounds about right, just not sure who will be winning side, hoping it's Man Utd !!

Edit: Actually, 2-1 if United win. If Barca win, I am thinking 3-1 Barca with Barcelona picking up a third while Man Utd chase the game.

As an aside -- Mexico changed the time of their international match tonight, put it forward two hours, to allow Mexican fans to tune in and cheer for Javier Hernandez in the Champions League Final instead. Changed the time solely because Javier made the final.

I thought that was a great move by whoever makes the decisions at the Mexican FA.

Very nice gesture indeed.

No Puyol ... Man Utd's chances just improved considerably

Mascherano has replaced Puyol at center half.

I just read that Barcelona have almost 58 million fans in Europe alone, United only have around 30. You know what that means, right? FCB are the Lakers, MUFC are the Celts  ;D

Nice start by Utd.

Let's hope this one is as classic as the Bruins game last night.  It's been a good sports weekend so far.

Brilliant goal opportunity for Barca. If Utd let FCB into the game, FCB will win it again. When you face Barcelona you must always attack. You won't keep Barca from scoring so you have to score more than they do.

Nice goal by Messi. Lot of curl on that powerful shot.

Looked like Van der Sar couldn't see the shot until too late. Vidic was in sight line.

Excellent substitution.

I love seeing Fergie bring on Nani for Fabio (injury) here. Move Valencia to right back and bring on another creative attacker. Nani gives them another guy who can run at defenders, beat them and deliver killer balls into the box. Add some penetration to that attack.

Plus, Valencia can advance forward from right back and give them some great overlapping attacking + free up Nani to drift into the center and cause spacing problems for Barca's defenders.

Ah dang, another Barca goal. Drats. Bloody beautiful goal by Villa though.
