Andris Biedrins is on the block. I like his double/double capabilities and the fact that he taps us in to the expansive Latvian market. With the right offer, you could be a major player in Riga too!

No one wants to trade? Everyone likes their teams?

I think everyone likes their guys too much.

The few of us who want to make moves can't get value for what we're offering.

Agreed. There was one trade in particular that I made today where I was baffled I got declined. I thought it made perfect sense for all parties involved.

I also noticed that the same 7 or 8 GMs post in this thread.

Hard to make deals when you have a limited number of possible trade partners.

Ya. I believe people are still interested, I'm just surprised to find this little amount of interest in trading. I would've thought with some of the names thrown out on this board that we'd have a few more "makes sense for both teams" kinda trades.

What are the percentages of teams out there that couldn't use OJ Mayo and/or Shane Battier?

I think it all comes down to how team x values player y compared to how the other team values player y and how the other player values player z.

At least thats what I think.

Yeah, but at what cost? You an those that are still shopping around are doing so for a reason, simply put, you are not satisfied with your team and want to improve it.

Well, I would want to improve my team to but again, I ask, at what cost? I am very satisfied with 4 of my 5 starters and 4 of my 5 rotational bench players. Could I use Battier? Sure but I think the cost of doing so will be too much and hurt the team as a whole.

I think there's probably about 15-20 GMs out there that feel that way. Sure, we would all like to strengthen up our weakest positions but why do it if it is going to hurt the team as a whole?

That's very true.

But if you thought you could get Battier at 50 cents on the dollar, wouldn't you at least ask?

I think there's obvious reasons people are shopping players, and I think out of 30 other teams there has to be a team that makes sense to acquire a player like Battier.

I'd like battier on my team but does it make sense for me to move some sort of combination of Rush, JR smith and Outlaw for him....I just dont think it does.

Yeah, I would love to have Battier. But what is the person who has him and offering him around going to want? If that owner would take Wilson Chandler for him straight up, I would do it.

My guess here is they will want something more. Why? Because the person who has him who hypothetically is offering him around is probably looking for an upgrade in Battier's position or at another position. I doubt he is just looking for a different fit. So that means his target would probably, on my team, mean one of my core players I have no intention of moving.

And, I think this is the way most GMs in the game see things this close to the end.
