Agreed on Brooks too.  I already had a bunch of guys like him was the only reason I bowed out.  I also think Dirk at $44 is a relative bargain.  A sign of the new economy?

The economy seems to have shifted from overpaying for high-quality guys to bidding on too many of the low-end players (but at reasonable prices).  But I think price tags are gonna continue to drop for the middle and upper-middle class players.

Man, can we just put Wednesday's bunch up already?  Gonna be a slow day for bids.

Agree on the format - this is really fun even if it is a marathon.  And holy cow, next 6 days (tomorrow through next Thursday) feature:

If I liked Dirk more I would have gone a bit higher on him too.  For the stats he will put up - that is a pretty good deal.

I think this first year will be interesting with lots of trades to balance out the stats on peoples teams.

Thanks.  The Roto League with these rules has been my "baby" for a long time (the first year I did the stats by hand! Then eventually on spreadsheets, before stats services, and AHEM, the internet became commonplace).  The rules in that league seriously took well over a decade to establish themselves.  We still tweak them here and there, but they are a pretty solid set of long term rules that have stood up to the test for a long long time.

This is the first time using this format for the Auction for me, and I do like it, but nothing beats actually sitting around a big table, having a few pops, and bidding it up.  Alas, that's not a possibility with this format.

Glad you guys are enjoying it, and really appreciate all of the help along the way.
