legitimate back-up 3 you say?

Time to bring in the big guns: Scalabrine.   ;D

I like your bold idea.....

OK, just between Brian Scalabrine and Delonte West. Which one do you want to cover Lebron? I dont care about anyone else, these are the only two to choose from.

I take Scal every time.

Scal on Lebron...hmm, I think there may be a slight difference in speed, power and athleticism there

I am imagining LeBron laying on the floor while Scal has his hand raised in an unapologetic admission of guilt as he gives that nod that says, "Yeah, that's right, I fouled you."

I could dig Scal if he accepts a role as Celtics old-school enforcer who leads the league in flagrant fouls.

Marquis looked really good until he got hurt.  I mean, for a role player.  And didn't Doc say he guarded Pierce the best in practice?  I would rather go with Marquis than a lot of other names out there.

"really good" is an overstatement.

He had some productive minutes but coupled those with equally invisible minutes.

Pierce certainly knows what Daniels and Gaffney have to offer.

He can't.  The season hasn't started yet. ???

That interview on the front page, I was really surprised about the overseas part.  I wonder why Pierce would play overseas.  Money?  One last chance to be dominate?  Maybe just for the fun of being on foreign soil in a different country.

Not a big deal, Pierce can do what he wants of course, but I just didn't figure him the type to do that.

Doc also said when Marquis went down he might be the most important piece to get back for the Celtics season. This was also at a time that Paul and KG were dealing with nagging injuries as well.

So obviously Doc regarded him pretty highly at a time, before the wheels fell off for reasons that are far beyond comprehension.

Absolutely  :o

Scal would be asking for Momma too, dontcha think?

Either way, it is 6 fouls at best and still no one to cover Lebron.
