Although I think KG will have a big bounce back season, being fully recovered from his knee surgery, and having the benefit of playing with Shaq and Jermaine, my vote goes to Ray Allen. The man was on fire until Artest took out his leg, and with a new contract and renewed focus on our post game, he will flourish. He plays much better when his future is not up in the air, and he will get a ton of looks when our post players like Shaq and KG kick it out to him, and he will also benefit from some more improvement from Rondo. Look out for Ray next season!

I also think Rondo will be even better, I think it will come from improved free throw shooting leading to more confidence in him taking it to the hoop. I think Pierce will be Pierce, he not going to get any better or worse, he will just take it easy a little more often. Quisy can't do much worse than last year, but I still don't expect a great deal from him, I think Wafer will be our primary wing backup. Perk is a wash, as he may not even play. Baby and Nate will have their ups and downs, IMO.

Biggest year not biggest improvement... I have to assume KG healthy will be dominate on both sides of the court.  I feel Rondo will again be all star material but how much can he break out  ::) from last years numbers with this team?  I agree that Ray will benefit from everything and actually feel he will lead team in scoring this year but my vote would be KG as "biggest year"
defensive player of year, 10 rebounds a game, keep his shooting touch looking awesome from last year etc

KG will have a nice bounce back year, but Rondo will have the biggest year of course.  He's the team MVP.  If he improves his FT shooting and maybe, MAYBE, his jumper, he will have an amazing year.

Rondo.

If he adds a few points, better free throw shooting and a less gambling defensive style(like he had in the playoffs), and can get his stats to 16.5/10/5/2.5, 50%FG, 75%FT, he's probably a 2nd team All-NBA player.

Probably Rondo, but I'm going to go with Ray.
I worry that Rondo will have a bout with the injury bug this year, thanks to his Team USA duties and general, all around, hard charging playing style.

I'm pretty sure KG never averaged 10 boards a game with the celtics including the championship year. i think people are being overly optimistic about him next year. at best he will produce the way he did in the playoffs which was a notch above what he did in the regular season. that means in the ballpark of 15pts 6 rbds, 3 assists, 1 block, 1 steal. Dont forget he's turning 35 by the end of the season... players don't all of a sudden get better. with all due respect, fact of the matter is KG is on the downside and there's no wayy to reverse that.

Biggest year goes to Rondo because he's now the best player on the team.

Biggest year in comparison to last year is going to be Marquis, who should vastly outperform his play of last year.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I honestly think, based on what we expect/need from each player, that the biggest individual "year" will come from Nate Robinson. I am not saying, by any means, he will be the best player on the team.

I just really think he gets it and could be Eddie House and then some.

The biggest year, as in statistically?

It's got to be either Rondo or Pierce, with the edge to Rondo.

man, don't get me too excited! If Rondo can improve his FT shooting AND his jumper, we get 18 and 19. I think he's still 2-3 years away from having a good jumper though, and playing for team USA isn't helping.

statistically is part of it, but  I also mean as a guy who makes big plays and significantly affects the win-loss record, which in some ways correlates with statistics, but not always. Ray hitting a number of game winning jumpers or Rondo or KG coming up with some huge defensive plays consistently when the team needs it throughout the year are even more important than leading the team in a category imo.

I wouldn't expect to see much of an increase in Rondo's scoring with this supporting cast. Too many guys who needs shot attempts and Rondo will put his scoring on the back burner in order to facilitate for them.

It's a shame because I think Rondo is the most difficult scorer to contain on the Celtics given the decline of the Big Three. With Rondo's explosive athleticism, ball-handling, ability to penetrate ... he is incredibly difficult to stop. The most difficult player to deny.

I thought that was going to be one of the main keys to Boston threatening for a title next season -- Rondo becoming more of a focal point as a scorer -- but I don't expect to see it now.

Don't get me wrong here because I'm not trying to bash KG but not only will he be 35 when the season ends but he will also be finishing up his 16th year. He already is 19th all-time in minutes played and 44th all-time in games played. If he plays 70 games at 30 MPG at the end of the year he will be in the top 15 for minutes played in a career and top 30 for games played in a career.

When reaching those milestones, players tend downward in their performances, not upward.

This seems pretty easy.  It'll be Rondo, imo.  He's their best player and still getting better.

It's not really a fair poll. You can't compare the impact of guys like Rondo and Pierce, to bench role players like Baby and Quisy. Obviously any start is far more valuable to the team as one of the bench guys.

But far as the starters go, Rondo is the most important part of the team offensively. KG is the most important defensively, Paul is kinda the glue of the team. Their all practically irreplaceable in their own right.
