"Rivers also noted that Team USA will incorporate some defensive schemes that the Celtics plan to integrate next season, so he thinks the experience will actually help Rondo prepare for the 2010-11 season."

I wonder if this means less pick and roll defense to cater to the Oneals.  I'll pay close attention to USA's defense to see what it looks like.

I would not be surprised if it was some sort of zone scheme.  That would help cover up for Shaq.

I would love to see us run a zone with KG at SF, Jermaine at PF, and Shaq at C  ;D

Yeah... no. There is a reason why NBA teams don't do this.

Heh, the Internet can be a bad conveyor of sarcasm. Though I _have_ seen this proposed in all seriousness, too.

Don't usually put the goofy smily face if I'm serious lol.  I'd love to see that lineup try to keep up with the Heat running the floor.

They are certainly going to need to change up their defensive schemes for Shaq. Shaq will not be blitzing the screener and the Celtics will want to try and play Jermaine with him for short periods of time (neither player can blitz screens).
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Joking aside, if there was no defensive 3 seconds, that front line would be inpenetrable. Actually an extended 2-2-1 with KG running the baseline on defense would be amazingly disruptive.

But there is defensive 3 seconds making my post irrelavant.

Agreed.  If there was no 3 seconds that would be a lineup that could seriously work against Miami, but alas no.
