Not sure about that. I liked what Corey brought to the Lakers as a super-sub scorer.
And Jeff Green can do 95% of what Tayshaun Prince can do as a small forward + functions better as a power forward in a small ball lineup than Prince does.
i disagree better defense in the starting lineup and Green and Thornton off the bench provide plenty of scoring.
Tayshaun Prince's defense has declined considerably from where he was 4-5 years ago, even 2-3 years ago. He is still a good defender but no longer a defensive standout.
Jeff Green is a comparable defender to Prince (vs SFs) and a superior rebounder. Green is also a good ball-handler and passer. Prince beats him for perimeter shooting but his lack of overall scoring efficiency limits that advantage.
They are two highly comparable players (as small forwards) at this stage in Tayshaun Prince's career.
