Yeah I don't like that deal for Chicago.

Trading away an offensive talent like Amar'e for an meh upgrade at the C position and Brandon Jennings?

Especially when LeBron is going to be running the offense anyways.

My thoughts:

1) Amare/LeBron wasn't going to sell people anyways. We're not tough enough defensively...we're not something something else...

2) Not a huge Amare fan anyways.

3) Huge Noah fan. Huge. Noah doesn't seem to particularly like LeBron either. Noah doesn't like to lose. Noah is a guy I needed on my team to mitigate LeBron's own ego. Nobody on the Cavs, sans possibly Andersen Varejao looked like they were putting up a fight down the stretch against Boston. Noah is both more vocal and more talented than ANdersen Varejao.

More on Brandon Jennings when I figure this all out.

1. Amare/LeBron alone wouldn't sell folks. But somehow add a defensive wing and a vet PG, and that team is a contender.

2. I'm not an Amare guy either, but I'm sure there were others here willing to pay a lot for him.

3. I like Noah a lot too. Jennings needs to prove it to me, but he could be a very good player.

I think you removed yourself from win-now mode, but may still be a strong candidate for team of the future.

Clarification on Mo Williams:

Do people not like him as a talent? Or is that he's fallen under severe criticism for contenders in the past two drafts?

LeBron + Amare is a good enough to duo to instantly give a foundation to a Championship contender.

All that team had to do was surround them with guys who can defend, rebound and finish plays offensively.

Cuz I hate him, but he's a helluva talent off the bench. 18 ppg +.40 from 3pt line, OK handle, OK vision. Can't ask for much more out of a backup PG.

Mo has a huge mouth.  I'm not sure that he's the type of guy who would willingly accept being a backup PG.  He's never exactly struck me as "team first".

Mo has always had a huge mouth for his team, but I can't remember a time he's talked about himself.

But he already had with the Bucks. You could also play him at the 2 for stretches of time provided the opposing 2 guard isn't elite.

Well, he was handed a starting position on a championship contender; there's not a lot to complain about, right?

There's a reason that Milwaukee dealt him.  He has good production and a reasonable enough deal.  However, he's bad in the locker room, and his stats more often than not tend to be empty.

To me, he's a rich man's Nate Robinson and could very much be a gamechanger for a contender.

There has been a trade:

Indiana Pacers trade:  Tyson Chandler, pick 9.28

LA Lakers trade:  Tyrus Thomas, pick 7.11

It's a trade of two guys I don't like very much.  I do think that the move makes sense for each team's respective roster construction.

It's 2:00 and no sign of BigAlTheFuture, so the Commissioner's Office will select for him.  With the 29th pick in the 6th round, the Sacramento Kings select Francisco Garcia.

The first pick of the 7th round can be made at any time.
