Shaq is in too now; let's give the man some love.

Let me put it this way;

Once again, the man got me PINING for this season to start. I'm genuinely in as happy a mood as I could be right now, and it's due to the master planner.

I'm not saying signing Shaq is the best sign ever, I'm not saying it's our life saver, all I mean to say is that; I love Danny's moves this off season.

Bring on the Fakers. (Heat? Pfff, u kiddin'?)

gotta admit, things look much, much better than they did a month ago when even Pierce was getting worried about our offseason acquisitions. Now let's get Rudy and call it an end to the summer.

Given what we had to work with, he's done a nice job. 

Still, I don't know if some of us are being blinded a little bit by the moves up front, since I'm not sure I would've been OK with Daniels and Von Wafer as our primary wing backups a month ago. 

Still, having a strong front line could open things up for them.

Honestly, stats aside, whenever I watched Rockets games, Wafer was the guy that impressed me the most. It might have been the Mohawk he was rocking, but his athleticism looked like TA, and that, I can appreciate.

Over the last few years, Danny AInge has converted me into a true beliver. I think given the tiny amount of money he had to work with this year he has done a great job. And, this is going to be a cast of characters like no other. Let the games begin -- NOW!

good job keeping perspective. I'm excited to have Nate back and i'm excited about Shaq. Daniels and Wafer hopefully can come through with some solid minutes. They don't have to be great, they just need to be solid in the 15-20mpg they should be getting. Help crash the boards, keep turnovers down and play decent D!

One key over the past 3 years is how the vets we pick up leave satisfied. Even Marbury wanted to come back.

Why wouldn't vets like the 2 O'Neals want to come to a team with our current reputation.

Danny has done a great job this off season.

I don't think that even debatable, the Celtics will be the deepest team this season.

I still want a wing defender who can knock down the three. Then we will be an extremely versatile team who can play to the matchup.

Our biggest weakness last season, rebounding, should be much improved. Our offense should also improve significantly.

The defense is what I am slightly worried about. Besides Thibs leaving (I like Frank though), losing TA (without a current 'defensive stopper' replacement, which could change) and Perk for the foreseeable future, we could lose a little.

KG should be better than he was last regular season, as his postseason indicated, he is still a dominant defensive force. Pierce and Rondo are both excellent, and I expect better efforts from Daniels. Ray, BBD and Nate are limited defensively, but they hustle, so I can't complain. There's no reason to believe Wafer can't be a competent defender, but he has to prove it.

This team should be better than last year's squad. We need to be healthier too.

I have been a fan of the Celtics since the 50"s and DA is the best GM since "Red" Auerbach. He has torndown a terrible team
lead by Antoine Walker and has added players like KG, Ray-Ray and Rondo. We are now one of the elite teams in the NBA and contend for the title every year. That's all we can ask from a GM and I appreciate the DA and Doc more every day! And if Perkins was not hurt last year we would have a different outcome
in the Championship Series!

One move left to rest PP and RA's legs for the playoffs. If we go into the season with Daniels and Wafer as the primary back-ups I won't be too disappointed but I still feel we're a Shane Battier or Marvin Williams away from an amazing offseason ..

I think Danny's dangling the dollar savings out there but nobody has bitten yet.  Someone will at some stage tho.
