I am convinced that the best value we will ever get for Sheed's contract is Sheed.  I really hope the guys can talk him into coming back.  KG has the best chance I would think.

+1 TP!

It was so neat to see him “pulling the rug out” from under Gasol. Who else in the league has done that to him? The problem, once time at least, was it worked so good an official thought he had fouled him.

Ok this has been mentioned a few times, and I for some reason do not remember this happening.

So tp for anyone who can get me a youtube link for it.

The last thing I want is another lazy year from Sheed.  The playoffs didn't erase the whole regular season in my mind.  I'd love to be able to trade him for someone useful.
I'm also against signing him for the last part of the year and playoffs.  He would never be in proper condition.

the problem is we could really use him at the BEGINNING of the season especially cause it looks like we're not gonna get another decent big man..

I dunno.  Sheed of the regular season hurt us more than he helped us.

He did it about 2 or 3 different times. Another finals moment I loved I forgot who it was - I think Paul or Rondo they straight up stripped/out strength the ball right out of Kobes hands. It was great. lol

I say that the decision to retire Sheed is still not taken, but this had been made official. The best thing that can happen to the Celtics is that Sheed stay.
I have the hope he comes back, Sheed is a playoff player and the regular season does not like him.

Come on Sheed do not retire!, This year we will win the NBA

I'm a fan of Rasheed Wallace & Allen Iverson, I love Sheed, for me the NBA is not the same without Sheed & AI

Go Celtics !!!!!! We are the best

Regular season Sheed might hurt compared to having a healthy Perkins there.  On the other hand, the Celtics may also be in a situation where the return of Sheed (or a trade for Shaq) is what prevents Semih Erden from playing 15 mpg.  I mean, unless you want KG to be playing 35 mpg until Perk returns.  I suppose it depends on whether or not you think Erden can play in the NBA.

here's to hoping that KG can convince Sheed to stay.  I would like to see him stay.  He was injured most of the year.  I hope he can come back injury free.  JO, Sheed, Perk, KG - possibly Shaq or Kwame would be a formidable front court.

I just had to LOL at this..thanks for the laugh on this slow morning!

As far as Sheed, last season my girlfriend mentioned how I should buy a Sheed jersey, to which I told her that I would never show any support toward him(this was during the regular season mind you)..I stood that stance, then the playoffs rolled around. I liked Sheed in the playoffs. He was HUGE for us against Dwight and LA. I wouldn't mind having him back if he can repeat his playoff performance, but I don't think that's possible. The above poster said he was injured for most of the year - I'd say that's true, but he has back issues..they don't just magically go away. During the regular season he hung out at the 3 pt line launching balls all day..in the playoffs he went down on the block, and look how much his back acted up. You can't tell me that's a coincidence.

Sheed pleeeeeease come back !!!

I don't know how else to say it,  but I am begging.  You had a fantastic season, don't let any of these celtics "fans" tell you otherwise.  We love you and want one more year!
