Ryan Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.an of The Sporting News is going to interview Perkins and they are looking for questions from us.

Quote
Hey Jeff and Greg

What's up. Have a favor to ask. We have a feature in every issue of Sporting News magazine called 5 Questions, where we have readers submit questions for the athletes, then we take the questions to the athletes and publish their responses. We’re always looking for more creative/insightful/provocative questions because they prompt the best responses. I’ve found those types of questions come from informed readers who know these athletes best, which brings me to your site.

We have one of these set up with Kendrick Perkins. Any chance we can get you to put out a call for questions to your CelticsBlog readers? You can give them my e-mail and have ’em send the questions directly to me. If we pick their question/answer for the magazine, they’ll get their name and hometown printed along with their question. They can ask questions about anything they want, on or off the field. The more nuanced, the better—the more off-the-wall, the better. If you’re interested, I can send you a PDF of a 5 Questions we did with Rays pitcher Matt Garza a few months ago as an example.

Anyway, if you can help, that’s great. If not, no worries. If you have any questions, shoot me an e-mail. Hate to add this, but there’s a sense of urgency here. I’m talking with later this week (Thursday or Friday) so if you could get this up ASAP, that’d be excellent. Need to get a few more good questions soon.

Do you take advantage of the Perk face?

For example, do you flash the Perk face just before a waiter hands you the bill causing him to wet his pants and run away?

Are you concerned about going into a contract year while recovering from a serious injury? Have you talked with Celtic management about an extention this offseason?

1) Perk, you are an excellent defensive player who exemplifies celtics
pride. However, why is it that after all these years, and after hearing
Tommy Heinson say it so many times, why do you still bring the ball down
after a rebound or pass before shooting it?

2) Tony Allen left the team for a bigger role in memphis. Do you feel that
the younger guys on the team, such as yourself, Glen Davis, Rondo, etc.
are overshadowed by the big three, or do you think contributing to a
championship team means more than enough to everyone to forget about
personal glory?

3) You are one of, if not the top defensive center in the NBA, as shown by
your defense against players such as Dwight Howard. Why is it that Andrew
Bogut, with his limited athleticism, gives you so much trouble on the
offensive end?

4) Last season, you had a fantastic first half of the year, and then
slowed down considerably from about the all-star break to the end of the
playoffs both on the defensive and offensive end. Did this have to do with
injuries that you battled during the season, or due to the difficulties
the team had in adjusting to guys like KG and Paul being in and out of the
lineup, or both?

Kendrick how is rehab going?

What are you doing for your rehab?

When healthy enough to work on you game again what parts are you going to work on such as catching the initial pass not having to put the ball on the ground and be able to dunk or lay it in?

Are you working on a decent mid to close range jumpshot and what other low post moves?

What are you doing to improve your already All NBA defense and rebounding?

Hope these are used.

TP for this Jeff really cool!

Any good fishing this offseason?

What's your favorite city play on the road?

What city, other than Boston, has the loudest arena?

Who's your best friend in the NBA?

Do you still keep in touch with "Big" Al Jefferson?

Hey, Perk ... hope all's well with you and the family!

First of all, thanks for all you do, Big Guy ... New England fans are the best in the world, and we're behind you 100%, for a healthy return and a rapid recovery.

How do you realistically feel about the time needed to get you back to your previous peak level of play, or do you think this injury will keep you from ever reaching quite that same level again? Do you feel you can be as effective as ever and elevate as well?

And of all the players we have, and all the players we have the possibility of acquiring before the regular season starts, who do you think would be the best fit for this team, and make your transition back to starting Center the smoothest process, with as little tension/negative fallout as possible?

Thanks!
