Agent for #Celtics 2nd round pick Luke Harangody said he and Danny Ainge will likely sit down this week and try to hammer out deal.

Via A. Sherrod Blakely.  As we all figured Harangody is going to get signed.

Would be huge bonus if this kid could give us even 5-10 minutes a game at the 3/4.  Like last season, have to rest Paul and KG as much as possible for play-offs.  Really like this pick by Danny.

Gotta love getting the #4 ranked rookie in summer league in the second round. I know its summer league but still.

From what I have seen he is a lil more athletic than people are giving him credit for, he's got a good turn-around mid-range jumper, he's good at getting open off of screens quickly.. havent seen much from his defense yet tho.. but no one comes in and dominates as a rookie, he should have his ups and downs..

At least he's on a veteran team, that should help expedite his growth process
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

good.  seemed like a good pick up based on summer league.  getting him signed was just a matter of time.

Harangody is the evolutionary Scal.  It'll be interesting to see how he works out, but I'm glad it's looking like Danny made another smart 2nd rd pick.

I'm telling you all:

Glad to see that he will have a spot here. With the team we have around him, he has the potential to look really good......

No one played D in summer league, and that is what will make him play 5-10 min/game or sit out next season. But basic set of skills is there, I only wish he could do something about the looks of his jumper, it hurts my eyes every time he shoots, it looks as he is breaking his elbow every time... But whats important is that he gets it in, I'll learn to live with it:)

Idk why but I really don't think his shot looks as bad as everyone else does.  Maybe I'm just use to seeing it.

And to remember how everybody hated the pick on draft night.  How a few summer league games can change things lol.

I’ve like Harangody all along, I was siked on him after watching the NBATV Combine coverage, he didn’t miss once the whole day  ;D.

This kid is smart, he knows that he’s in a town that will love him, under a coach who’s helped similar players thrive, and he has a chance to win a championship. This won’t be a long negotiation.

I hope that Doc plays the young guys early on to give them a feel for the game.  We all know that the starters can sleep walk through the first half of the season then turn the after burners on opnce the play offs roll along.

Use the season to develop Bradley and Harangody and who ever else we bring in.

Nice maybe we can now trade Baby for a 3 that has value to us since Harangody seems like he is going to be the same exact player....

Ya, strange/ugly shot, eh?  It's like a baseball player who still throws like a girl.  How did he make it this far without someone correcting that shot?  I know you don't want to mess with results, but that shot is SOOO blockable, it's a liability.
