I just had to link this article to the Celtics faithful because I hadn't seen it here yet.

This result is unexpected -- Boston essentially had just as many FTA/poss as we would have expected based on team tendencies, but Los Angeles' rate of FTA/poss is dramatically higher than we would have expected.

At first I thought I was just flipping out because my emotions were on high, but the rewatch of the Finals game made me twice as mad...and that was far after I had cooled off(somewhat).

You watched game 7 over again?  I'd kill myself if I did that.

The NBA is not fixed. It's a moronic theory.

Just thinking about somebody else watching game 7 again makes me depressed.

David Stern should have resigned when the Donoughy scandal hit.  The sport is corrupt.

It may not be fixed but it is definitely corrupt.

Vinnie:

I don't know how you look at how some of the NBA's stars are officiated by their own rulebooks and don't see corruption.
It may not be fixed but it is definitely corrupt.

Corrupt and fixed are two totally different things. And, while I believe there are some referees who should no longer be reffing, I do not believe overall that the sport is corrupt. I guess I would ask all of you who believe this theory if the sport was corrupt two years ago when the Celtics won the championship? What happened that year?

LA didn't have to shoot FG down the stretch , they shot FTAs. If they missed they shot FTAs, if they turned it over they shot FTAs.  Stern called down the fix.  Stern is the most corrupt commisioner ever, closed door draft.  Dirty refs, probably has a first class job ready in hell.

The Finals were officiated evenly bad throughout last year.  Kobe got absolutely screwed in two games.  Ray and Paul got absolutely screwed in several games.  It was just awful and inept all the way around.

What I'm referring to is the way the messiah gets by with everything.  Paul with his pet offensive foul rule.  Wade and Nash with overt carrying.  etc etc etc.

Just call the game by one rulebook and nobody can call things fixed or corrupt.  But when there are different rules for different players and different times of the game.  It opens up the door for the Donaghys to get by with corruption for years without it being discovered.

The games are not fixed, but if you really believe what you are posting, then why do you bother even watching the games?
