feel free to dig up some vids of your own, but I really like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0rHRaJkUPk&feature=related

Matt Barnes will be traded before the deadline. Barnes, Artest, and Kobe on the same team means more drama than Miami.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing when they signed Ron Artest.

Not to mention Barnes and Odom's great relationship.

......and how did that work out for us?

It took the game of a lifetime for Ron Artest, a Perkins injury and what looked like a little 4th quarter help from David Stern's henchmen to deny us Banner 18. I'm not too worried.

...and Artest's cheap shot on RA early in game 3 giving him the charley-horse that did him in for the rest of the series and us with him. Add to that the Kobe/Bynum tag team take down of Perk...man, I hope we get Shaq if only to put Artest/Barnes/Kobe/Gasol/Bynum on notice that we will retaliate....with "clean", hard fouls, of course.

TP, I'd be happy if those "clean" hard fouls didn't result into Celtic players injuries. We need to be in the other side of the play.

Hearing Celtic fans complain about the refs and/or the Lakers being too physical or dirty is extremely ironic and gratifying.

Matt Barnes isn't going to disrupt the locker room of the back-to-back champs, just as Artest didn't. Between Phil Jackson, Kobe Bryant, and Derek Fisher, there's too much leadership in that locker room for Matt freaking Barnes of all people to become a problem.

You are correct about Barnes but, the fact that he's awful might end up helping us out in the end.  That is unless we get another game 7 inside job... did I just hear another 4 quarter whistle?

As I said, this is extremely gratifying. Laker fans whined incessantly about the refs in '08, and it was sour grapes then as well.

Well I hope you are happy with that tainted title your Lakers "won" this year. I mean, it must be great for all you Laker fans that David Stern is a Lakers fan too. Between him, Crawford (another huge Laker fan), home court advantage in game 7, and C's missing Perk, you guys had all the cards lined up for ya's. I'm not sure how I would be proud of such a tainted title, even if I was a wicked die hard fan of such a team. You guys should send champagne cases to Stern and the refs, as well as championship rings.

I believe in God, Family, and The RED SOX!

This is just the type of comparison you find on the internets.  A blow out of historic proportions compared to a series where the home team was losing game 7 by 13 in the third and then the the away team got whistled for 14 fouls to none for the home team.  Thank You internets.

Barnes will play great for the lakers.  Its easy to play for them they have a great team thats gunna win tons of games.  Barnes is a tough and great player.  I don't care if Pierce destroyed him on offense, Pierce destroys every one.  Barnes just makes the Lakers more talented and more tough, which stinks for the rest of the league.  If we are healthy we will beat them, but [dang] they are stacked.

And chemistry problems are Overrated.  Artest Barnes and Kobe will do whatever it takes to win, they have all played on great teams and want to win badly.

Yes, I'm very happy with our "tainted" title. And I'm even happier with the method by which it was attained. The Lakers pushed the Celtics around in ways that lead to 23 offensive rebounds and a significant free throw disparity.

If I complained about the 38-10 free throw disparity in Game 2 of the '08 Finals, what would your retort be? That the Lakers were too soft? That the Celtics were more physical and aggressive, and the Lakers were forced to reach & grab as a means of compensating for their physical disadvantage?

Because you would be right it that was your reply. The same is true here. A couple of you sound exactly like many Laker fans did in '08, blaming Stern as a coping mechanism for your team getting beat.

And the Perk element makes me shake my head. If you get a hypothetically healthy Perk for the entire series, do I get a hypothetically healthy Bynum?
