I think, he would be very good from bench. He's good shoot blocker, he's got nice jumpshoot. What do you think?

Didn't know he was available..looks like LA chose to go with Theo Ratliff vice DJ.

I'd like to pick him up. He was rather active around the basket in LA as a shotblocker. He definitely clogged the lane.

I'd prefer Sheed, but if he doesn't come back then Mbenga wouldn't be a bad addition as a temporary backup center for J. O'Neal.

Better get someone before they all are gone. They might have to sign Clifford Ray to a coach-player contract.
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Mbenga is barely an NBA player.

If he wasn't such an awfully nice guy -- and he is a really nice guy. Everybody loves him -- he'd probably have been kicked out of the league years ago.

Mbenga is the 15th man on an NBA roster. Same as Erden albeit with a bit more defense and a lot less offense.

In that case sign him.  Nice people are like free anti-depressants...
Nothing wrong with upping the love!

He had some decent games over the last few years when Bynum was out.  He's big and athletic.

But I'm betting David Kahn will sign him and then decide there isn't enough room on the roster for Kevin Love and trade him for nothing.

I'd much rather go after Admundsen from the Suns.  I think he can actually be a deeper rotation player, Mbenga can't.  And frankly Shaq is still a much better option then either of those guys.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner
