He's a 4, not a 5. Judge him based on that. He played out of position in Toronto most of last year (almost exclusively used at the C position). Despite that, he racked up the rebounds. With Miami, he's not going to be guarding centers (unless Miami goes small a lot but that would force the other team to adjust). No later than next summer, they'll have the bulk in the middle to allow him to play the 4 all the time. And even now, they're ticketing him for that spot.

Definitely ... The Raptors have held back Bosh's career for a couple of years now. The constant lack of defensive focus + lack of defensively talented teammates have been a huge hindrance to his development.

The defensive mentality/focus of Riley and Spoelstra + the defensive talents of players like Wade and LeBron (leadership of Bron defensively is important too) and bigs like Haslem and J.Anthony. It's going to be beautiful change for Bosh ... and he's going to blossom because of it.

Bosh is also going to play better defense in Miami because, like Pierce before KG + Ray arrived, he no longer has to shoulder such a large load offensively. He'll have more energy to expand defensively.

Do you think that maybe Bosh was another example of a good player on a bad team, and his numbers may be inflated? Calling him a coward is a bit out of line IMO, cause the guy clearly knows he's not a number 1 guy to build a team around--he can't do it himself, or with just one other guy. If you ask me, Bosh is not on the same level as LeBron & Wade. But he's a great third piece for a run at the title.
