Good article here from yahoo sports..

Only makes a slight mention of Luke, but its very positive and has his stats for anyone who hadnt seen what they were.

something around 16.6 points a game and 50% 3-point shooting..

Let's not forget how much faster he can grow on the celtics than he could on most teams. If he needs advice on his 3's, just ask ray-ray, need help with low-post defense/offense, ask KG, wanna learn how to be a playmaker? talk to pierce and rondo.. Lets hope this kid gets some minutes early on and shines.. could end up being a nice addition off the bench.

Or he could just be the crappy token white guy for the celtics :P but lets hope not
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

He is short, probably won't be able to play very good defense on PF's and it was only summer league, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't surprised and pleased with his performance in Orlando. He might be able to become a Ryan Gomes or Ryan Anderson type, and with where he was picked that's extremely good.

Danny has a knack for picking up undersized role players that can contribute, Harangody might just be another one of those types.

I'm not really trying to make a direct comparison but big baby is undersized too. Just leaves some room for hope that maybe he could be a big baby type, only with a nice 3-stroke instead of baby's beautiful 15-18 foot jumper.

And I know it's only summer league but most guys play summer league at some point in thier career. Just pointing out that while its "only summerleague" he is doing very very well.

Can this guy back up PP?

I mean why not, sure he is an unproven rookie but he has a well rounded college resume.  He will only play backup minutes so I see no reason to panic here, I think he's got his work cut out for him but with the right teaching, he can provide quality backup minutes at the 3/4 spot. I even feel he is ahead on the program already unlike Gomes when he was first drafted...I would just hope ofcourse that Doc, who is notorious for not giving rookies playing time realize early if indeed Gody can contribute... Im not advocating that he becomes our Primary backup to PP, certainly not, but I surely feel this kid is gonna surprise people.

Apparently Gody can shoot, and score in general against weak competition.  We didn't know the first thing, but we knew the second one.

I'm not sure either really changes my opinion of him.  He knows how to ball and he's got good work ethic, it seems, but I still don't think he really has a place on this team as long as Big Baby is taking minutes at the 4 and Gody cannot play at the 3.

No.

You ,sir, are absolutely correct.

I like harangody, but his one on one defense will not be pretty in the NBA.  He will try very hard to stop sf types, but the better and faster players will turn harangody into a fouling machine.

Harangody is too slow to start on a good team.  But off the bench in a year or two he will fine. I think he will be a good scorer off the bench and play hard.

He'll struggle covering guys at 3 especially his first couple of seasons.  He'll be able to score though and he has a pretty good BBIQ so he can be taught good team defense.  My hope for him is by the 2nd half of season he'll play BBDs rookie role of about 5 to 7 mins a game.  The C's can always use some scoring. I suspect Doc will allow him to make mistakes because he'll see the hustle and attempt to learn from Gody that you don't see from most rookies ( 4 year starter in the best conference in college basketball ).

Isn't the title of this thread just a teensy bit misleading?

The article mentions Harangody in the "Unheralded" group, noting that he "could help" the Celts "off the bench."

Oh yeah it's just that easy... hey Ray, help me out with my 3 point shot can you? If only Rondo was smart enough to do that.

C'mon Ray injuries and he was playing Kobe on Defense which explains missing 18 straight 3's.
