as Pierce noted, "slim pickings" out there, especially those willing for minimum. so, yeah, wordaapp. even if it wasn't Plan A.

Pierce clearly thinks C's should be making more impact moves after he took a discount. But not sure he understands how limited the team is.

Pierce sounds off on C's lack of impact FA moves and more headlines from his Q&A today: http://es.pn/b5KhE5

He's probably p---ed that Ainge let Tony get away.  He should have promised TA more playing time.  He should be able to get it with Pierce and Ray aging.  Oh well.

Seems like it came down to TA wanting a starting gig which he might get in Memphis (at some point). That was never gonna happen in Boston.

It's tough to add to this roster with lack of resources this team has.

Splitting the MLE between a couple players might have brought in more depth, but we would have still been really hurting at the Center spot.

I don't fault Danny for giving JO the full MLE.

If we can get Nate back, JO and Avery should be enough to neutralize the losses of TA and Sheed.

(But not increase our odds against what seems to be a growing stacked team in Miami).

He doesn't sound unhappy... He just sound like we do. He wants to see some more moves soon because right now the depth is bad.

lol

Pierce pretty much saying, "get me a backup!"

Barnes is a very suitable backup, hopefully Ainge gets him.

He sounds nervous about Miami.

Can you blame him? That Miami trio is going to be awfully tough to defend against.

Our options are limited... all we have left is minimum contracts or sign and trades which are tough to pull off.  Sheeds contract is a possibility, but with a lockout looming, dumping salary for next off-season isn't that big of a draw to teams.  There will be no free agents to sign.

Sounds like logical comments.  Nothing out of the ordinary.

I trust in Danny is the only thing of importance.  TA is his buddy but, Paul knows DA will do what he thinks is best for the Celtics both short and long term (cough 4 years cough).

Nervous about Miami lol yeah Paul nervous...

Im kind of surprised Pierce made those comments, and Danny can't be super pleased to see that. There are lot of players that are still unsigned and there are also a lot of players that will be traded. I am glad we didn't just go nuts and trade Rasheed's contract for Drew Gooden.

We aren't happy either...but it is not over yet.

Let Danny do his job.

I didnt see Danny on Twitter complaining about Pierce's performance during the Cav's series.  :P

Exactly.  Only move I haven't really liked that Danny has made is actually Piece's contracts guarenteed 4th year, ironically.

TA shouldn't be paid the Memphis money he got.  Glad we didn't pay him that.  O'Neal was a good move and hopefully we can turn Rasheed's contract into something.

We are reloading for another run with the big 3 but this 2 year plan for the run is turning out to be a good thing looking at Miami.  We will see, but I don't know if we'll be able to beat them, so giving us room to rebuild is looking better and better.  Maybe Pierce wants us to go all out, but we have done everything we can.

Maybe Paul needs to remember there's a thing called a salary cap.

I'm not following he says we need some backups that appears to be pretty logical.  The whole twitter thing is dumb but, I still don't get what people find surprising about those comments.
