That is a big change from the earlier December return date.

Not looking good for Perk next season.

It never was an early December return.  It  was a late December  early January.  I think they have a better sense of what is going on now so they know it is February.

Well, Danny said he was being cautious.  He clearly did not want to over estimate.  Based on what he said, I would put that post all-star break return at the back-end of possible return dates.

Rough.  I feel so bad for Perk.  This team is all about coasting till the playoffs again next year, but without Perk for that long it will be tough to build up the record for a good seeding.  Maybe O'Neal works out really well and we can get another decent big, we'll see. We played really well on the road in the playoffs last season but idk if we can keep it up and we need a better seeding with how much better the East got this offseason.

Hopefully when Perk returns it's at full strength.  That is the most important part. We will need him for a playoff run.

If that is how long it takes for Perk to get healthy, that fine.

The Celtics will be prepared to play without him till then.  They will be in position to take a top seed.

It is more important that Perk is completely healthy before he comes back.  The Celtics need him more in the playoffs then in the regular season.

That sounds about right for serious knee injuries. I just hope Perk has no setbacks for his rehab program. The Celtics just need to win the division and the only challenge would be to beat the Knicks.

I just hope that Danny can get cheap quality help. Heck, sign up Scalabrine, if you have to. We have to go for broke this year. Dang I'm still disappointed about not getting the championship.

The celtics will win the division with or without Perkins. I am excited to have JON and believe he will hold it down until Perk is 100% and ready to body the likes of Howard and Bynum. A 100% healthy Perk is essential to a advancing through any of the Eastern Conference powers.

Even at that I don't think it was when they expected him to be back in the lineup but more when he could begin training.

I'm worried that Perk won't be the same player next season.  We might have to wait for the following season to see an effective Perk. :(

That's probably true, but one factor that works in our favor is that Perk's game isn't based on explosiveness or great athleticism. He should be able to give us some decent play while he's still coming back.

I think we will be fine as long as JO holds up.

Perk should return in Feb and be in game shape by April.

The big question will be is what % of Perk will we be getting once we get to the playoffs.

Anything less then 80% and we are in big big trouble if we have to face the Magic or Lakers.
