I was reading a LITTLE into Sofoklis Schortsanitis...AKA Baby Shaq of Greece. So it got me thinking into what players we could get from the Clips to get the rights to this guy. Rasual Butler seems like a doable target for us to have a shooter SF.
Then I had a crazy idea of getting Kaman. So here's the trade with some "tricky" math involved.

Sheed6, Marquis5 and BBD3   =  Kaman11, Rasual3 and Schorty1

We lose Big Baby, but we get Kaman who can actually fill Perks shoes plus play the majority of bench big minutes at both positions. Butler obviously becomes our 6th man so to say(unless a hero like Tmac comes along for the vet min) and we get the Greek Shaq to work with/develop. He's "undersized" but so is Craig Smith and he's a talent. Big fella can step back for a J as well as drive in for a nice dunk.
And to me the play room of having KG,Kaveman,JO and Perk to share minutes would be amazing.
Can't stop, Rondo!

It would be nice but the more i think about it BBD is a big part of our bench. I mean he knows our system. I'd rather not loss him.

Big Sofo has always had huge weight problems. I wouldnt give up BBD for him. Marc Gasol or Tiago Splitter are much better than him.

I don't even know where to start.

First, Sofoklis Schortsanitis is not an NBA player. Second, he's lucky to be playing basketball at all, given that his weight issues make Oliver Miller look like a ballerina. Third, we can't sign Marquis Daniels to a 5 million contract. It's not allowed under the CBA. Fourth, crackpot theories where a bunch of players are thrown in to make salaries match, and not because they might be of interest to the other team never work -- Zeke is out of the league now.

Why do the Clippers trade Kaman?  He is the best player in this deal.

Isn't it obvious? Because the original poster wants Kaman.

I've always been amused at how all those trade suggestion start with "let's see who I really really want on the Celtics, and I will throw together some ridiculous trade that will make it happen".

Any sort of trade idea worth its salt should start with "let's see which team in the NBA really has a strong desire to do something (free cap space, get rid of a player, gain flexibility, etc.), and see whether we have the tools to work with them".

Butler would be a nice pickup at the minimum.  That's about all we can hope.
