He is like the Wily Mo Pena of basketball in that he is too good for the dleague but not good enough for the NBA and the only way to improve is to play at a developmental level.  Kid should have gone to college or suck it up and go back overseas for a few more years and come back when he is 28.

Where do you get the idea that he's too good for the dleague?  He did not dominate the dleague.
"If somebody would have told you when he was playing with the Knicks that Nate Robinson was going to change a big time game and he was going to do it mostly because of his defense, somebody would have got slapped."  Mark Jackson

Can these threads be too far behind?

"Bring back Tony Allen"
"Bring back Bill Walker"
"Bring back Brian Scalabrine"
"Bring back Lester Hudson"
"Bring back Allan Ray"
"Bring back Kevinn Pinkney"
"Bring back Michael Olowakandi"
"Bring back Kenny Anderson"
"Bring back Rodney Rogers"

Yes even that last one. My guess is there is someone out there that would think he could still get it done and be a great towel waver and motivational team mate for this team.

Let it go people.....

Gerald is only playing 12.7 minutes a night in the Lakers first three games in summer league.

If he has improved, why isn't he playing more minutes?

We are not even close to seeing the end of the Bill Walker threads. They will plague us all next year.

Walker might be the first subject of those threads in the history of this board who actually deserves the acclaim.

The rest are the subject of myth, kinda like "Paddy O'Blount didn't get enough opportunities."

I'd bring him into camp with as a walk on. What the heck. The guy can score and I don't see a down side in bringing him in for a look.

Listen. It's time to face it, Larry Bird is not walking in that door.

Yeah, I would be happy with that.

I wouldn't rule Gerald out as a useful NBA player at some point down the road. This year is probably too soon for him judging from his lack of playing time with the Lakers summer league team ... but I think Gerald has a good chance at being a useful role player in the NBA somewhere down the road.

Good shooter, can finish at the rim, athletic. He adds a bit defense on top of that and serviceable rebounder and he'd be a good role player.

TP, lol.

Same goes for these threads.

Gerald Green is an athlete not a basketball player.

Gerald Green will never play a meaningful minute in the NBA.

Lowest basketball IQ ever.

"Bring back Rodney Rogers"

Every time I see that name, even in a thread like this, I still get angry that they traded JJ for him and didn't even bother to re-sign him at the end of the season.
