Bell is traveling to Los Angeles this week to watch the ESPYs and has arranged to meet with Bryant to hear the Lakers' face of the franchise make yet another recruiting pitch to the 33-year-old swingman.

I recall reading somewhere that Kobe thinks Raja Bell is one of the best defenders.  If the Lakers bring aboard Bell, like they brought aboard Artest last year, then clearly this is a case of "keeping ones friends close, and ones enemies closer."
Celtics fan for life.

I really want Raja on out team I really think he would fill Tony's role perfect and I would be very upset if he ended up with the fakers.

  • BEAT L.A.! Yankees s****!
Raja Bell is definitely one of the best defensive guards in the league, and this would be a huge, huge, huge signing for the Fakers unfortunately. Defensively, they would now be able to put Artest on the other team's best SF (Pierce, LeBron, etc) while still having Raja Bell available to guard the other team's best SG (Ray Allen, Wade, Jameer Nelson)..all while Kobe could be free to roam. This essentially gives them 3 excellent perimiter defenders on the floor at once while they have their 7 footers down low to defend any penetration. I guarantee this signing improves the Fakers tremendously, and I'm sure other teams will step in to see if they can block this from happening.  :(

Ainge should step in to see if we can somehow steal Raja and make him a better offer to be a Celtic.
I believe in God, Family, and The RED SOX!
