Good deal, he can score and is a fantastic athlete.  He  seemed to buy into our team concept too.  Slam dunk title here we come!

I definitely like this signing. I like Nate's shooting, his instant energy, and his athleticism.

Still don't understand not bringing back TA because of the extra year he wanted, but this reduces the sting some.

Not signing Tony only makes sense to me if Danny ends up paying a signifigant amount for another back up wing. If he doesn't, ugh.....

I really think Bradley will prove to be a very good back up 2, this year. That being said there is no way Danny goes into the season on a contending team with us needing a rookie to play a significant role.

We will get someone else. Whether everyone on this board will be satisfied with him is another story entirely.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think Danny is just trying to not sign any role player or older player( ray, oneal) past 2012. He clearly wants to keep cap space open and hopefully land a big free agent.

How long is nates deal for 2 yrs?

The only explanation I can think of is that Danny is comfortable that Bradley can replicate Tony's defense.

I feel better relying on Bradley for defense at the point rather than on the wing.

I am uncomfortable with the thought of him defending wing players. An unproven undersized tweener.

I think, based on reports, that he'll defend the 2 quite well right off the bat.  Defending the 3?  That would be weird.  I think Tony Allen's wing defense will be Bradley at the 2 and a Free Agent at the 3.

Well, if Nate comes back (it isn't in the bag yet), I guess it does help out with Bradley's transition.  Still, I'm not sure Bradley was that much of a risk as backup PG.  We are, after all, the team that got by with Eddie House for a couple of years and last year let Tony Allen play point guard in key games.  I can't imagine Bradley could do much worse, and even if he could, Ray or Paul brought the ball up half the time House or TA were in the game anyway.

Still, I like what Nate brings from a talent perspective; however, as others have said, Tony Allen may have been the more prudent signing.  But then again, we don't know what Nate will settle for or what Danny has up his sleeve.

As for Bradley at the 2, I like him as a defender.  However, he's even shorter than TA.  He's not going to be able to guard 3s.  We desperately need someone for that role.

I concur although the 3 might be the Sheed trade

6 foot 3 and 180lbs

That looks like a big risk to me. A big leap to assume he can defend the two guard position at a high level as a rookie.

Standing reach is only 8 foot 2.5 inches. That's good for a point guard but small for a two guard. Same size as Luther Head or Jeff Teague. He is Ben Gordon's size (a bit smaller even). Big leap, big leap.

I am uncomfortable entering the season with those types of expectations on Bradley.

I would have loved to have seen Bradley play in summer league.

Get a better feel for how he runs the point + how well he can guard wing players.

I thought untimely injury was a big loss when it came to plans for next season. Whether the team needs Nate Robinson back at the point or not and whether Bradley can play the two (defensively) or not.

If we're counting on Avery Bradley to be a rotation player next season, we're in trouble.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't think of any 20 yr old rookies that ever played a major part on a championship team.

Really? With Doc as coach? Plus, Tony could guard the likes of LeBron and Wade. Those guys IMO are way too physical for Bradley who is closer to a PG than a SF.

I don't really know why Danny didn't sign TA. my best guess is that he really is trying to be tight for 2012 (not a good reason from my perspective) and also thinks he can get some with Sheed's contract (a much better reason, but still to be seen if that actually is going pan out or is even in the plans).

Josh Howard would be a real nice move....might have to give up Bradley though...
