Al Jefferson with a 3 poit shot would score 35 ppg in the NBA.

The winter and spring league...not the summer league.

Before turning an ankle and as previously stated giving up 36 points.

Al's defense is not as bad as you are making it out to be.

Also if Al would give up 36 Harangody will give up 56.

Give me a break with this guy.

I have been pleasantly surprised by his SUMMER league performanc but I still dont expect much contribution from this kid and not in my wildest dreams will this guy be mentioned as having the talents of an Al Jefferson.

No doubt but, those that think Al Jefferson is some world beater are mistaken as well.  Nice player who's stats never helped a team do much winning, doesn't have sustained good health, and is a poor defender.

This kid is looking great, I hope Doc doesn't bench him like he benched Rondo in his rookie year.

Doc was told to showcase young talent to increase their trade value. And he played Telfair over him because he wasn’t stubborn like RR was. Rajon eventually earned the spot.

He is the best basketball player at the office.

I think his work effort will be good enough to allow him to stick around this year but it will take more to carve out a solid role player career.

Oddly enough, Jefferson with a three point shot wouldn't be Jefferson because it would diminish all of the great things that he does do.  'Toine used to have decent post moves until he spotted the line.

Good point!

Sheed is another one.

Im still waiting for that big man with great post moves to extend his range to 3pt territory...and then learn how to mix it up.

Post...spot up...post...spot up.

How in the world do you defend Rasheed Wallace if he combined his early Portland Days with his 04-05 Piston Days?

You dont...that's the answer.

If he turns out to being a 35% 3 point shooter, I think you may see him take a lot of Davis' minutes.
No. Harangody's post defense makes Davis look like Ben Wallace in his prime.

Davis is good in the system, Scal was decent in the system, I think Gody could learn to be an average defender.

Maybe, but he's still not going to take Davis' minutes just because he scored some threes in summer league.

  • You say when......
It's summer league buddy.  Calm down.  If it wasn't for Perk's injury, he probably wouldn't see the light of day on the court.

So I guess if you wanna look at his injury in any positive way at all, you could say its a blessing in disguise for Harangody.  He will probably be given the opportunity to show his stuff in the regular season so he better take advantage of this chance.

But big al with a 3 point shot?  Sloooow down.  Lets see how he does against actual good individual and team defenses

What does perks injury have to do with luke....he is 6'8" not at all a center....maybe the luke-ster will make bbd get his butt in shape..in the gym, not in the drive thru...!

I am not too worried about his defense, because on this team, they will learn the scheme and it's not terribly difficult to learn to alter shots. Hard work and intelligence, Luke has both.

It's the rebounding that worries me. If he is gonna get boards ripped away from him regularly, then he can't help us. I hope he can learn to use his body to box out, but still, bad bounces are a part of the game. Great rebounders can adjust quicker.

I think his offense will be good, maybe even very.

Yeah, this didn't make even a little bit of sense to me either, Meadowlark. I don't get what he's saying either.

According to

http://www.mynbadraft.com/NBA-Draft-Profiles-2010/Luke-Harangody

Harangody is a cross between Bird and Hansborough =]

This article always makes me laugh since if it was true Harangody should have gone top 5.

My Celtics homer side though hopes the writer aint kidding

The scheme, on this teams, requires our big men to be able to body up the opposition 1 on 1. He may learn and be very good at help defense against the pick and roll, but that's not going to help him in clear-out situations.
