This guy knows Lebron in and out, knows his strengths and weaknesess. I'm not conceding anything to the heat, but we need every advantage we can get. I think he would jump at the chance if we offered. He was one of the scapegoats in Cleveland and I'm sure he'd love to get back at lebron somehow.

I'm not opposed to that, I never even thought about him actually. Don't know if he can get a head coaching job right now, but maybe he wants to win a title, and raise his stock.

Is being the head coach of a lottery team and better than a top assistant of a championship team?

Tom T says no.

This actually seems like a pretty good idea. If he'd go for it, I'd go for it. Good idea.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Hmm not a bad idea at all, especially like you mentioned that he pretty much knows what Lebron's weakness and strengths are.

TP. Great question. I started a thread about this a while back. I'm in favor of him replacing Thibs. Because he's a great defensive coach and not because he used to coach Lebron.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
I'd rather have Lawrence Frank.  Sorry, but Mike Brown came off to me as a bit "clownish" and I think he'd be wise to take some rest and get away from the game for a year.

I also believe that this hiring is important because this person could be the "coach in waiting."  Not a certainty, but I believe that this hire will have that thought on the backburner.  With that said, I would NEVER want Mike Brown as a head coach...
