Objectively, nick's team is most talented, and misha's has fewer career losers on it.  However, Edgar has Shaq, Ray Allen, and GOD.  I mean, God can't miss, and he plays pretty killer defense, too.
If that is the only argument anyone has for Edgar's team, that he has God? Then quite honestly, shouldn't Edgar have won every category? Couldn't God be considered the best World Conqueror, Funniest Entity, and Smartest Being ever by the widest of wide margins so much so that Edgar's team should have won every category?

God never scored 100 points in a game!

God can't dribble like Cousy!!

God never got a nickname like "The Glove" because his defense was so great!!

God never orchestrated 16 world titles!! Heck more US Presidents have probably asked Red Auerbach for advice than they have God!!

In basketball Michael Jordan is GOD!!!

And God told me, even he is afraid of KG!!!

Well, I did vote God smartest.

God created the world.  He has no need to conquer it.

While God created humor, we just don't see it in his written works.

God's humor was in his creations not in his written works.

God is unconquerable. That has to say something about his ability to conquer.

Again, I just must not get this Draft.

I think I'm going to join misha and concentrate on the CB Draft instead.

Personally, I have to question god's track record. He consistently hasn't been able to get it done when it matters the most.

Just my take on it Nick, but I think the idea is to have a sense of humor and pursue a creative imagination, and not look at it competitively.  What I had envisioned with this draft was assembling a bunch of characters who fit certain topics, then seeing how they would compare in hypothetical categories.  The idea of seeing what kind of basketball players Socrates and William Shakespeare would be intrigues and humors me.  By stretching a category's definition to fit one sort of team the imagination is not as challenged, and I think that's what the voting reflects.

At least that's my take.

That said, I voted for your team because I thought it was the best basketball team (or at least the best one without so many Lakers).
Yup

How do you think I feel? I have a dunking wolf who won the state championship, two-time intercontinental champion, 3-3 tournament champ who was mentored by Kareem Abdul Jabar, an undefeated defender of the Universe, and a WNBA MVP to go alongside a man who can change the outcome of matches with math equations and I've had one measley vote.

Politics, maaaaaan.

That literally made me laugh out loud in my cube. Probably going to be tough to explain to the coworkers.

Yeh, having to explain what exactly we're doing here would be a tough one.

With all due respect, at this point in time I think 94.1% of the voters don't know a thing about basketball and therefor should be disqualified.

Completely agree here.  Nick, I think you and I are incredibly left brained people which is making it hard for you not getting this draft and hard for me to garner a single vote in any category!!!    :'(  (Is anybody else not voting for themself??)

I don't vote for a team not based on actuality, but more based on hilarity/convincingness of one's arguments.  Or my obsession with Hakeem Olajuwon.  (Did anybody else watch that compilation?? Has there EVER been a player like that in the NBA before??)
