Tough kid. He'll be fine playing with Rondo and KG.

Thanks, that was an enjoyable read.
I'd add: humble, hard working kid.
Celtics fan for life.

Danny doesn't just draft the pretty faces.

So it isn't a homage to Eric Montross?

I was already excited about Bradley and his approach to the game but now I'm sure he will honor Leon's #0.

Exactly. I think I figured Danny out. He looks for talent first, heart second, and then all the rest. It doesn't matter if the guy is 'fat' (Big Baby), 'short' (Harangody) or 'cocky' (Rondo).

That's why he's such a good 'drafter'.

The key is if he can defender taller SGs. If so, then we have a valuable player on our hands and potential starter down the road.

it's good to be humble, but at the nba level he needs to be aggressive too or it'll never happen. jr giddens was humble. but better humble then a cocky jerk. here's hoping he works out.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
Sounds like a decent kid.  I still hate the pick (I wanted Danny to trade out of the 1st round), but I hope he pans out.

Looking forward to it.  He and Harangoody really look solid. I have been watching the Summer League and Harangoody is tough down low and can even move out side very versatile.  I am dying to see what Avery brings once that ankle heals up and he can play in the fall.

Or he chose it 'cause there are only like four numbers that aren't retired  :P

He already had this number in college. Read the article and you'll know why.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
I thought he picked it cause that's how many minutes he's gonna log his rookie year. Well, maybe not with TA gone, but that's an awful lot of pressure, to tell a rookie that it's up to him now to lock down Kobe, DWade, MeBron, etc...
