According to ESPN, Bron Wade and Bosh all took less money. Bron & Bosh's salaries start at $14.5m instead of $16.6m and Wade's starts at $14.2 so total salary with Chalmers (not including roster holds) is only $44.2m, leaving about $14m to spend.

Except for the part where they have no fans and the overwhelming majority of the people in the stands for the next decade will be asking things like "What's traveling? (ok, can't blame them for that, LeQueen has never traveled in his life)", "Why is there a red shot clock?"  and my personal favorite, "Why don't half-court shots at the buzzer count for 4 points?"  At least the Yankees have lots of die hard fans who know their stuff, as annoying as they are sometimes.

If so, then that leads me to think that with the lock out possibly looming will a lot of players jump at the vet min offer, when there are a bunch of teams that can pay them more than vet min?

Make no bones about it, Fisher to the Miami would be a good move for the Heat and a decent size setback for the Lakers.

As much as I hate to say it.  It would be a good move for the Heat, but it won't be a decent size setback for the Lakers since they've gotten Steve Blake.

I don't think Steve Blake drains that 3 in game 7 or closes out game 3.

I know those three guys have huge edorsement deals, but they really did leave a lot of money on the table by signing for such low dollars. If this was MLB, the players union would be ballistic right now screaming that what these three players did will set the league back by 10 years, because it will lower what other players can get on the FA market.

I know there's a lot of hate out there right now for LBJ and to a far lesser extent, Bosh, but they have definitely done what we claim we want stars to do - sacrifice money to win. With Miller, maybe Haslem - they are looking very strong.

Riley deserves all the credit in the world for pulling this off.

But you're right - they are six year deals (with, I think ETOs).

Anyway, I think they'll play brilliantly together - even if it would be amusing to see egos tear them apart.
