I've read this in a couple of articles but what did they actually doi to enable Lebron? I heard one thing was allowing buddies of his on the summer league team? What did they actually DO that enabled him? I don't mean just kissing his butt because that is done to stars all around the league. This is something I never really followed.

I've read that he forced their hand in re-signing Boobie Gibson. Also that he had a major voice in the coaching position. Too tough to ever really figure out how much say he had.

Analysts like to blame instead of just accepting that so much in life is just contingent.

The Cavs did a great job, but it doesn't always work out. Analysts like to judge from the safe position of looking back from the future when everything is settled saying "team X should have done Y instead of Z". The problem is, they have no idea if Z would have worked, and you have even less of an idea when predicting the future.
