Sorry I had to miss the last game, did anyone watch it...just turned it on for the last two minutes and checked the Chat Room (empty).  I know we lost, Harangody got 18 pts., and we were short handed.  Who, if anyone, looked  good today?

I watched only the second half, but it looked like everyone on our roster was on their last legs.

Harangody brought the usual again (gotta love the consistency), Lafayette played zero defense. These are the only things that stood out to me.

Gaffney and Harangody and maybe Parakhoski are the only ones who could fit into a role

Most of the guys were absolutely dead. Lafayette played something like the most minutes of any player in the league. He was front rimming stuff from the get go. Obviously incredibly tired. I think they had six guys dressed for this game.

And 2 of those three players are terrible. Parkahouski isn't making an NBA roster and Gaffney just can't play SF right now. He's pretty solid defensively it seems, but can't do too much else.

The player Danny asked to stay who is now going to the Vegas Summer League...was his name Simms?  Think he has anything to offer?

Thanks, everyone...I knew we were really short handed.  Harangody seems to bring it every day...I hope they can find a place for him on the bench.

Sims looked pretty good, I don't know if he's an NBA player, but I think he's close if he isn't. He'll probably get a training camp invite, maybe even play in a pre-season game or two, but regardless I don't think we're missing anything too special.

I think it was Matt Janning. He only played in the first two games.

I missed this game too, but the comments confirm what we saw earlier in the week.  Harangody is the only real prospect that this point (besides Bradley), but even he's a tweener who resembles Ryan Gomes, not a diamond in the rough.

Best guess:
1) Gaffney and Lafayette are released.
2) Harangody and Bradley make the team, but are up and down from Portland.
3) Ainge fills out the big league roster with experienced players.

I don't expect Harangody to spend much time up in Maine, but can we conclude from that lats-game box socre, when he was presumably guarding Favors, that he won't be able to defend 4s in the NBA?

Having not seen the game I can't judge, but clearly he's a bit undersized to play the 4.  This is why he may well spend a lot of time in the D-league, he doesn't have a good position in the NBA.  That deosn't mean he can't be successful in the league at some point, but keep in mind the C's have to win NOW.  The window has been propped open for one or two more years.

I think Harangody, Erden, Lafayette, and Gaffney all have a pretty good shot at making the Celtics roster considering that we are almost out of money to go sign more experienced FAs.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Besides getting absolutely posterized by Favors, I really liked what I saw out of Kravstov. He showed great athleticism and toughness (got injured and came back). While he's clearly not an NBA player now, I wonder if it would be possible to give him a contract and let him sit in Europe for a couple years to develop more. That would be ideal.
