Coming from the opposite perspective, the one of the first things that popped into my head after hearing about LeBron in Miami was "I hope the salty dogs in Boston take these guys behind the ****in' woodshed next year".

I understand that it's a different situation for you guys since a Lakers/Miami matchup in the playoffs would be for the title, but I'd definitely be pulling for the Celtics in a propspective ECF.

I hate the Celtics with the passion of a thousand burning suns, but I respect the hell out of them. I have no respect for LeBron.

Thank You, that means a lot coming from a Laker Fan. I think if I had a choice between watching the Lakers and the Heat play for a Championship and jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge, I'll glady go for a swim in San Francisco Bay.

Well since it won't come to that...considering we are taking them down in the ECF so we can face off against the Fakers again....I vote for the Celtics.  Now in the regular season when they play on TV (and you know it will be on ESPN, TNT or ABC) I'll find something more enjoyable to watch....like paint dry. 2 1/2 hours of watching three of the biggest egos in the NBA stroking their egos on national TV is not my idea of an enjoyable game.

If the Lakers met the Heat in the finals, it wouldn't so much be about who I was rooting for, but who I was rooting against more passionately.

I obviously don't ever root for the Lakers, but I am afraid that if the current Miami Heat team wins a title, it will do irrepairable damage to the sport that I love.
