If I were a cavs fan I would bow down and worship his greatness for leading my garbage franchise to relevance for 7 years... then cheer him loudly through the entire game as a sing of praise and thanks.... I'd be counting my lucky stars that he even signed an extension and didn't bail after 4 years.

Maybe Nike will promote burning LeBron James jerseys as the next cool trend.

LeBron doesn't owe Cleveland crap.   Cleveland should just build a shrine outside Quicken Loans Arena to John Lucas for tanking the 03 season so that Cleveland had 7 years of bliss.

The people of that city should stop wha-whaing and just move.  It's just law offices and banks in that town.  Cry me a river... Seattle only got a single season of baby-Durant... The Cavs nearly had a decade of prime LeBron.  Boo Hoo

I can't wait for the first game of Cavs vs Heat in Clev, it will be nothing short of fun/interesting to watch.

Hope the fans really give it to Lebron, and I'll also be looking forward to our crowd giving this so-called 'new big 3' a piece of their mind.
And don't forget that we now legitimately have "A Big 4".

I love the Celtics, but they do not have a "Big 4." They have Rondo and three pretty good players on the downside of their careers. Nothing wrong with that, but it is in no way a "Big 4."

Lebron suffers a wrist relapse and can't make the trip.
Yup

This would have happened had he not talked about loyalty and bringing a championship to Cleveland only to turn tail and hide for 6 weeks, then give false hope that he was coming back only to go on ESPN and basically say F___ you, I'm out of here.

Whether Cleveland deserves the guy or not does not matter. Lebron has zero class. You just don't treat people like that. You don't even treat people you DISLIKE like that. He should be ashamed. All that advice he got from his mom.. did any of it include this espn crap maybe being WRONG?

What crowd?  I bet they boycott that game.

That would be pretty sweet actually, coming in and playing in an empty stadium.

I mean sure we won't get to hear those boos, but am pretty sure these guys will get boo-ed out in a lot of other stadiums.

I feel spurned fans are obligated to boycott players. Players know that their choice will either gain fans or alienate them. The best move winning-wise may not be the best financial move.

Still, I don't think Clev has enough financial heft to make a difference.

If there is a boycott like one poster mentioned, than we will see a standing ovation for Lebron's return since it would be filled with supporters who have no reason to boycott the game.

Basically.

Choose Chicago, its understandable. Best chance to win, great legacy challenge in Jordan.

Choose NY, its understandable. Biggest city with the best chance of being an icon and resurrecting a dead franchise.

Choose CLE, its loyalty and legacy, but a tough road. Very respectable if he had stayed.

Choose Miami? You're turning tail and running for help. You're diminishing your legacy. You're not giving yourself the best chance to win. Top if off with a public humiliation and evisceration of the city of Cleveland and you have an Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline..
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.
