Pulled these two off of hoopshype.

Magic are looking at a S&T with NY to get Al Harrington (good pickup for them if they get them...couldn't we do that with Sheed's contract?)

Rasual Butler having exploratory talks with the Mavs

Gave me a random thought...Sheed's contract for Marion (whose contract is pretty atrocious) works straight up.  What do we think of that if the Mavs were into moving him?

All the quality wings are getting snatched up fast I hope Ainge is got something in the works.

Indeed, quite different than what NYK thought would happen.  :-\

Would add Josh Howard to the consideration list. He's coming off injury but has upside & may be realistically obtainable.

I thought I remember Marion not wanting to come off the bench, even if for a contender. I could be wrong though.  Would love to have him if he was willing to come off the bench.

If I remember right, that was sort of the issue with the Suns, sharing the limelight with Amare and Nash, wanting a bigger role.  Perhaps having as many other big names around him on the roster and Doc making the coaching calls would aid the ubuntu buy-in.

Fixed that for you.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

No thanks to Walker or Marion.  Josh Howard could be a steal.

No Howard, he is still working his way back from his own knee injuries.

OK, so let Marion start with Pierce at SG and bring Ray off the bench after 5 minutes.  Or maybe start him at PF with KG at C.  I don't see a problem making the basketball part work, these are the nice to have problems, it is the contract that is probably a little too much even for the Celtic's free spending owners.

All these years of dissappointment may have changed his mind and brought him down to earth, but who knows.

Marion has become more of a team player; but still disappears in crucial moments.

At this point Marion seems ideal. He can play sf or pf, spread the floor with some shoting and best of all be a versitle defender. i would sign and trade for him as soon as I can. This will spell Pierce and Ray tons. Dallas also gets some space to move things around. As for his ego? I think if he can buy into the system he should be fine. It's all a ring and at this stage in his career he could be amazing of the bench.
