ESPN Radio in Florida is reporting that Shaq will sign for the minimum to return to Miami.

Stole this off RealGM.

No link.

So, it's just FWIW.

Good to see.  I hope he complains for more minutes and touches and then doesn't run the floor.

These title chasing guys drive me nuts.  No one wants to try to improve the team they are on, they just want titles handed to them.

Shaq clearly clogs up the lane for Lebron. Lebron and Wade are best when they are attacking the rim. Niether of them are deadly shooter, more streaky. I know Miami needs a Center, but as a C's fan I would be happy to see this.

Yep. Starting to seem like the league is turning into MLB. The East is getting ridiculously tough now.

Lakers will be sitting fresh and pretty like last season.

Miami are a better team if they start Joel Anthony alongside Bosh.

Anthony will be a better facilitator. Allow the Heat to play a superior style of team ball.

Shaq will just get in the way ... but he would be a nice sixth man playing 20 minutes a night. Give the second unit some muscle, rebounding and interior D. As well as a go-to scorer.

I have a hard time believing he takes the minimum.

I can see Shaq taking the minimum.

I reckon he is more concerned about his legacy / ego than his paycheck / ego.

If Shaq does do this and then it's a Lakers/Heat finals, do we all have to root for the Lakers???  I think we do, ugh.....

I don't. Shaq has made 200mil+ over his career, do you really think he would choose money over a title at this point in his career. Kobe just dissed him after winning the title this year. Shaq wants to tie him in championship and win one head to head and this would clearly be his best shot to play 20 mins on a team he already won a championship with.

Not hard to believe at all.

He won't have to, now that Beasley has been shipped to Minnesota.

Agreed.  He will absolutely take the minimum.  After how last season went, no team would sign him for any more than that and honestly...he doesnt deserve more than the minimum.  Injury plagued season and when he was in there, he was really showing his age and that he just really doesnt have much left.  If he signs and the Heat win a title either this season or next, I fully expect the big diesel to retire.
