I know it won't be easy at all!  And it will be the toughest championship the Celtics have ever won!  We are going to knock off the Superteam Heat and we are going to get our redemption against the Fakers!

We will get it done!  This was all meant to be!

And boy... Oh boy... Will it feel good!

+ 1 and Tp.

As long as we get a a good consistent bench, and if our guys stay healthy....then I am pretty confident that the guys in green and knock the Heat and Lakers out.

DA get us a STRONG bench...and Pierce please get into shape..we need you running down the court not walking anymore.

And Rondo...please work on your FT's and J...that is a must for next season.

I think we need to especially be sure we solidify the 2/3 spot now.  I'm confident that our bigs can do a number on Bosh; however, now that we're going to have to cover LeBron and Wade, it's going to take more than Ray and Paul.  We're going to need Ray, Paul, Tony, and at least one more quality guy.

In my opinion, I think it would be the greatest thing in the world if Cleveland won the championship next year (next to us winning of course).  How do you think that would make Lebron feel? 8)

Bradley. If the Celtics aren't retarded and keep him at shooting guard, I think that we EASILY got the best player in the draft. I'm not afraid of him because he had ankle surgery.

Chris Bosh never scared me. They still don't have enough defense or rebounding to do anything significant AND our defense is designed to stop these types of players. It's not like they're going to get 3 balls to shoot on offense.

Love the optimism, Mike. Really hope so, though it's too early to tell.

I do think it will take Miami some time to click. When we got our Big 3, we also had the young Rondo and Perkins, we were able to sign Posey, House and two good veterans. And even with all that we struggled early in the playoffs.

You know the thing with all this having the big 3 is that by any chance is one of them go down...it can pretty much kill a good chunk of their chance of winning it all.

For example with us KG's injury pretty much killed our chance of winning 3 in a row.

Anyways not hoping for any injuries for anyone, but just saying that these guys will be playing lots of mins and one injury can hurt them big time.

He could be solid on Wade.  Still, I'd like another 3.  And I think we can do it with Sheed's contract.  There's really no reason to waste it on another big.  Perk will be back, whether it's February or April, and we can get by with KG/O'Neal/BBD and whoever else (Kwame or even Sheldon) until then.

We need a scoring 3 badly if we're going to win 18.

Well, I think that this team will be no match for us. We are not the best offensive team, but we never have trouble scoring against these three players. Defensively, I think we can cover any player in the NBA. Rondo, Ray, Tony, Bradley, Pierce, Garnett, Perkins, O'Neal, all GREAT defenders. Not good, GREAT. Anyone who disagrees obviously doesn't watch basketball. And with Jermaine now giving us a formidable presence in the paint, I don't think they will be able to score on us as much as everyone thinks. I'm not worried at all.

Yeah, but the difference is that we actually have a bench (Tony Allen, Bradley, Davis, O'Neal).

An interesting stat to look at:

http://hoopdata.com/advancedstats.aspx

Lebron and Wade ranked 1 and 2 and Bosh ranked 9th last year in Usage rate(% of plays used by a player while on the floor).

Now given I still think bosh/wade/lebron can play together, it will be interesting to see how they will react when their shot totals go down considerably.

The one flip side is, Lebron has the potential to be the most destructive off ball player of ALL TIME with Dwade handling the ball and bosh threatening from 18ft and in.

We'll have to wait and see. The supporting cast they bring in will be completely dependent on how much wade/bosh/lebron sign for. Maybe they take a pay cut to allow a nice role player to sign there?

Even with 1 role player, I'm not scared. Still no PG, no C, and no backups.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I'm not sure what to expect from this team. I don't know how Wade and Lebron fit together exactly. They could be really bad in the half court because of a lack of shooting and sticky hands. I can't wait to see how this thing plays out.
