What about a simply Varejao for sheed trade? It works on realgm trade checker. Our front-line rotation will be great because for me he can play like C or PF with every player we already have in our roster (and even with the new arrive JO).
Cleveland may do this because now that they lose Lebron they have to unload heavy salaries.
Thoughts?

I'd love the guy but I think I'd prefer Josh Howard.

With Jermaine here and the likes of Kwame available on the FA market and the fact that Perk will be back at some point, we probably have a bigger need at the 3.

I'd rather see his contract used there.

I love Varajoa's energy. Also a great rebounder, especially on the offensive boards.

The guy has no balls (literally). He is one of the biggest floppers in the league, which allows easy baskets when he doesn't get the calls in the playoffs.

We need a wing who can shoot off the bench to play along with TA.

Anthony Morrow is who I want for sheeds contract if at all possible.

Now that Jermaine's here, I think our one resource (Sheed) would better be spent on a scoring 3.

Perkins will be back and we don't have room for 5 bigs to get minutes.  While it'd be nice to have, we can't afford that luxury at the expense of our need for a quality 3.

As an opposing player I can't stand him, but he'd be great with this team. With that said there's no need for him if we pickup JO. It would have to be one or the other and it seems JO is already on his way.

Not sure why the Cavs would do this even though I realize they are now a lottery team and Andy is of little use to them.  There will be no urgency to dump cap space as there is no one to sign this year or next of any consequence.  I think they'd want youth or picks in return for Varejo.

I'd rather have a long term fixture at the 4/5 position who can help us now than a wing player who's less talented and older.

That being said I don't see the C's having the Pieces to get Varejao.

The Celtics desperately need Varejao to keep pace with Miami.

I don't agree.  While we can argue about when Perk might be back, he looks to be back at some point.  And he wasn't all that athletic to begin with, so I don't see him having trouble adjusting.  If that's the case, why do we need 5 quality bigs?

I think the much greater need is at the 3 spot.  We had enough trouble staying out of foul trouble at the wing spots when we had to just guard Wade and just guard LeBron.  Having to guard them both is going to be a nightmare.  We need at the very least a big defensive three and hopefully one who can score, as we very well could be facing foul trouble for Pierce and Allen in a playoff game.

They do it to help us defeat Lebron and the Heat.

I'd be all over Sheed/Baby/1st round pick and maybe even Bradley for Varejao/Moon.  KG/Perk/Varejao/JO is a fantastic frontline.

The problem is that there are few palatable options at the 3 with Sheed's contract unless a team like Atlanta agreed to a sign and trade for Josh Childress or some such deal.

If you can land a big of Varejao's calibre (the guy's been the best big man on two straight 60 win teams) you've got to do it.
