Looks like Gomes has made a decision.  I would love for it to be back to the C's for the right price, even though he isn't the best fit for our needs, but for what he lacks in that he makes up by far in heart and work ethic.

I would not be surpised at all if this thread was not read  because of how people would think it's going to be about LeBron lol  .

Vet min would be the right price for me.  Maybe a little more.  I doubt he's coming here, but I'd love it.

It would be great to learn tomorrow or tonight that he has decided to come back to Boston for the vet minimum. When you think about it, Danny just said that now that they have reached agreements with Ray, Paul and Jermaine, they will sign the contracts and then move on to the next "pieces". Gomes could be one of them and an agreement could have been reached...

But it's just wishful thinking from my part. The tweet doesn't necessarily mean that Gomes has made his decision anyway, maybe he just meant it was the start of free agency for him!

Don't think it CAN be for anything but the vet min, if he's coming to Boston.  All indications are that JO took the full MLE, and I don't see Portland wanting any of our spare parts in a S&T deal.

And, don't see why Gomesey would be signing a vet min deal NOW.  It's got to be for at least $2M - $3M/year, or he should just wait the process out.
