Josh Howard is still a good defender and could be a very good to excellent defender if he focused on it.
His rebounding has dropped off though and his offensive game is weak. Too much isolation offense and not efficient enough with it anymore (not that efficient to begin with, so any decline was going to be very hurtful to him).
I don't think Howard is willing to let go of his star days just yet. I expect he'll want to be a scorer and be a negative influence offensively, rebounding wise, and be good but unexceptional defensively as a result. I also he'll command a long (3-5 years) MLE or near MLE contract which I don't want any part of.
So, I wouldn't be interested in Josh Howard.
