here's what I love most about the Ray deal - it gives us $31M in expiring contracts tied to just two players (we might have more before long) during the lockout-shortened or cancelled season

regardless of what happens in the new CBA there will be a premium on flexibility under the cap - we'll have contracts to dangle to those teams once the season opens back up

or if they cancel the season entirely, we'll just take the cap savings and head into the new era with Rondo as the Man and the Truth as the overpaid lockerroom veteran that everyone loves
