I really hope LeBron doesn't go to New York.  It will just make our path that much tougher easier.

Even with Amare that team is NOT a contender. They need a PG and a defensive presence inside.

I agree...they'll obviously be better and things would get interesting, but in terms of a big picture, no way they're a championship.

I'm one that believes that Mike Dantoni...good coach, fun style of basketball, but he will never win an NBA title with his style of play.  Just can't do it.

I agree 100% with you on that.  Even though I feel that the Suns should have been champs in '07 with that hip check that Robert Horry gave Nash.

I'll bet any money if LeBron signs with the Knicks we'll be facing them on opening night.

Seems like NYK-Miami might make for some good opening night ratings.

Yeah I didn't think of that.  It'll be us or the Heat though.

I agree, that year was by far their best year to win a title.  But things happen and it wasn't meant to be.  Even with great suns teams when they had their run, they couldn't win a title.  Dantoni's style of basketball just can't win titles.  We've never seen it done and we're not about to just because Lebron may sign there.

You know what I find hilarious? If he does go the Knicks, that means that Amare was the deciding factor. You combine that with the rumors of him trying to bring Bosh to Cleveland and I think he would've stayed if someone else had joined him. However, the Cavs refusal to part with Hickson and instead traded for Jamison has proven to be a colossal failure. Hickson better turn out to be a star!

I might be missing something here but the Cavs wanted to do that trade for Bosh but Bosh didn't want to play in Cleveland. I don't know exactly what Cleveland could have done to keep Lebron but I think they tried everything, we'll see how it works out.

Yeah if Cleveland is to be mad at anyone, it should maybe be Bosh.  Everything was set for Bosh to be brought into Cleveland for Lebron.  Bosh has said he wanted to play with Lebron...just...not in Cleveland.  For whatever reason, he just had no interest in playing in Cleveland.

makes a lot of sense...  amare is better than bosh.  amare gets his decision out of the way, allowing lebron to ponder it over.  nobody is going to cleveland as a FA, so lebron is now put in a quandary (of sorts).

NY is still the biggest market on the planet.  if lebron and amare team up, other FA's might be willing to come on board.  it would be the biggest deal there since patrick ewing 25 years ago.

Id love to see him go to the Knicks... Him and Amare are a perfect duo for a New York team.

NYC or Miami should be looking real good to Lebron right now.

I'm pretty sure this is why he didn't want to play in Cleveland

Amare is better than Bosh?  AMARE IS BETTER THAN BOSH!!????  Dude,  what basketball league have you been watching?  This assertion is so off base I don't even know if I should respond with statistics, or just post the link for WebMD so you can get your symptoms checked out.

  • Thank you Eddie!
There's too much evidence out there that says that he is going to the Knicks, from stuff like orange "witness" shirts coming out to Dudley and Chad Johnson's tweets.  I wish I could go out to Vegas and bet good $ on that right now.  Knicks fans deserve a contender after being the NBA fan's collective punching bag for the past decade, but I'll definitely puke if Lebron ever wins a title after the stupid hour special circus.

Amare is more explosive than Bosh, he's more of a highflyer and more of a "highlight film" player.  So casual fans think he's the better player.  Personally, I think they're both a bit overrated.  They're both not perfect players, that's for [dang] sure.

I don't think Amare was really available for Hickson and Big Z.  I think there were discussions, but Phoenix turned that deal down.  However, the urban legend has become that Cleveland refused to part with Hickson.

Any bets on whether a "Lebron to Clippers" tweet comes out at the 23rd hour, or something else out of left field, just to add to the intrigue of tomorrow night's big media event.

BTW, just what on earth are they going to do for an hour before he bestows upon us his holy decision?
