Anyone else get a little uneasy watching Danny and Doc's body language at the Summer League Games. Do they know something we don't know. Obviously; but from their attitude you would think they had signed both Ray (or Mike Miller) and Brad Miller (or Brandon Hayward) to two year deals.

Even if we take Lafayette, Carroll, Gaffney, Harangody and Parakhouski (not my idea of a good haul), we have no back up PG (Nate's status???), no starting SG (Ray's status???), no backup SF (What is the status on the team option on Marquis???), no starting Center (???). With BBD and Harangody as backup PF's need some size in the middle. Or conversely if BBD is a backup C we need size @ PF. Don't see the big picture here???

if they keep the guys you named as primary bench guys...it is going to be a long season. lafayette, carroll, gafney and Parahouski are not good enough

Guys lets not be so crazy. For all we know danny is talking to people between the games about a monster deal for Monta Ellis or Chris Bosh. If they happen to be enjoying watching a few prospects for a few hours at a game, let them do it.

what are they supposed to do? just constantly be on the phone?

as of right i look at the summer league guys like this:

Harangody is a lock to make this team, this is another pick that will rock DA’s second round resume.

Gaffney looks like he could be a nice defensive minded guy, plus he’s got experience working with the team

Oliver Lafeyette isn’t going to make it... Nate and Bradley will provide our backup PG depth.

Erden will probably get a contract and then rock with the Red Claws until he learns the American game.

The rest if these guys aren’t anything. But Jaycee Carroll could be interesting. That college scorer, Eddie House, JJ Reddick type of guy who can come in and score quick.

The whole atmosphere there is pretty relaxed.  I wouldn't read too deeply into it.

I know one thing: I prefer Danny relaxed at summer league, sharing a few laughs with Doc, than the opposite -- Danny running in, pulling at his hair, yelling into the phone, yelling at Doc, screaming "the sky is falling! the sky is falling!"

I agree. There is not much he can do until some other chips fall, I.E. Lebron, Wade and Co. So many other players may become available or pulled of the market depending on what they do.

Plus, don't expect any of these summer league guys to be officially signed until after the Las Vegas SL. I'm sure Danny is looking at everyone's summer league team, not just ours. Other than established players like Harden and Ibaka for OKC, who are playing to gain extra seasoning, and draft picks, everyone else will be available to sign after these camps.

Dude, you need to be like Ainge and Doc and get a life. They were watching a summer league game. They both know things we don't know. Are deals done? not yet, but I'm certain they have a plan.

Ainge has had a heart attack, he has to take it easy. Doc, is Doc. He is not going to be stressed out. He is home and was just kicking back watching a summer league game. What do you want him to be doing? Sitting there biting his nails and looking paranoid?

Just relax. Hey, we all want a quick resolution to filling out the roster and we want good players to keep  our gooe run alive, but to try and draw conclusions from watching our GM and HC at a summer league game is preposterous.

Doc always looks relaxed when he's not coaching so I wouldn't read much into it. For Danny he has to watch his health so relaxation is good too. No point stressing now when there's not much going until the big FAs make their move.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Clearly, it would be better if Ainge looked tired, frustrated, and ready to make a trade or free agent signing out of desperation.

If Danny didn't look relaxed I would be worried. The guy does have a heart condition after all.

Besides, when did you ever see Red Auerbach in public look like he wasn't relaxed. I want my heads of the team looking relaxed and like they have the answer to everything and that they know something that no one else knows every single second of the day.

When they look nervous or stressed, that's when they have to be fired.

Well, if Danny is not willing to die for the celtics then maybe he not the right guy for the job.  ;)
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Honestly this thread is creepy.

Being a fan = cool
Being a fanatic = not cool

Dude, go out and get yourself an ice cream cone and relax. If you are that wrapped up in the Boston Celtics, that on July 6th you expect our coach and GM to run around like mad men in a summer league game, then something isn't right with you. You care a little bit too much and that's scary. It's not healthy either. Seriously, chill.
