I would offer Toronto sign and trade Rondo and Rasheed for Bosh.
They would get Rondo locked up for 5 years at resonable money and cap relief with Rasheed contract. They will not get better value for Bosh.

Unfortunetly we cant get a superstar without giving up one.
Rondo is great but I would prefer bolstering our front line with a stud Power Forward. I would roll with possibly Nate, Tony or Bradley at the point. thoughts?

If we didn't have KG, I would do it.

We are just missing a Center who won't hurt us when he is on the court. (Hold the fort until Perk gets healed up).

Not in a billion years.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I wouldn't do it I'm seriously unimpressed with Bosh as a player. I don't see him as a game changer or a guy who can dominate games. I don't know why he's being mentioned with Lebron and Wade when his teams almost never sniff the play-offs in a weak eastern conference.

I agree completely.

He's kind of like a younger KG without the eyepopping athleticism, rebounding, defense, post moves and leadership.

In other words, a soft jumpshooting big.

So he's basically KG now without the intangibles and commitment to defense.

Not worth Rondo.  I don't think he's really any better than Boozer or Stoudemire, and I don't think those two are game changers either.

Why are people trying to trade Rondo???  This boggles my mind.  He is arguably the third most valuable player in the NBA after Kobe and LeBron.  Did you forget that he set the Celtics' all-time single season assists and steals record this year?  Or that he put up Oscar Robertson like numbers in some of the most crucial postseason games?

Not in a billion years.

How about a billion and one?

What is this supposed to accomplish? It makes us less likely to win a title in the short term and no more likely to win a title in the long term.

The man is filming his Free-Agency. Certified loser! Keep him far away from the Celtics.

Uh, no.

The King's affection for Bosh proves what he doesn't know about the game - Bosh doesn't bring him closer to a title. Nothing I'd like better than to see the soft Bosh and the spoiled LeBroid paired together in Cleveland. Recipe for failure.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

100% agree. Boozer is better.

Trading Rondo right now would be the dumbest move in Celtics history.

The only players I might consider trading Rondo for are: LBJ, Durant, Wade and maybe Melo.

How is trading Rondo for Bosh is gonna make us better? especially when we have KG.

And on top of that he's got a cheap contract (relatively, of course).
