Steve Blake has agreed to a four-year deal with the Lakers, according to a report from John Canzanao.

Fisher turned down a one year 2.5 million dollar deal it says on Fanhouse and Farmar isn't expected to return so idk who will be the Lakers backup.

Either way this is a good signing for the Lakers  >:( >:(.

Forgot about that, that is a good point, but I wouldn't consider it good news.

I wonder what the price tag is, how much of the MLE was used?

Lakers add Blake, but lose Farmar, and possibly anger Fisher? Is that a net gain?

I think they will dump Farmar and Blake will be Fisher's back up and his minutes will drop further next season.

Idk they low-balled Fisher so I think he is gonna leave.  I feel that the Lakers want Blake and I don't know if Fisher will be happy with coming off the bench.

It makes sense for the lakers. PG was much more of a need than a wing, so signing Miller would have been a waste for them. Also, to be honest, Fisher doesn't have much left in the tank, and they were lucky he came up big in a few playoff games for them. Smart move.

Ugh it hurts so much knowing Fisher doesn't have much in the tank, but he had enough to do what he did in game 3.  What the can't say the last word on here.

I'm not really that impressed by Blake, to be honest.

I am.  I think Blake is really underrated and did a great job when he was the starting point in Portland.

Blake is a solid PG. Starting PG on a championship caliber team? We'll find out.

Have to think the signing also wipes out a good chunk, well over half, of the Lakers' MLE. They still have some holes to fill.

4 years for 16 million said by this guy... http://twitter.com/jose3030.

I definitely think Blake is better than Fisher, but i too don't know if he has the championship caliber in him like Fisher does.  We'll see though. As a basketball player, Blake is definitely better than Fisher though.  And if I was a Lakers fan I'd be ecstatic with the signing.

Nice pick up by LA.

Floppisher is overrated at this stage of his career. He's good maybe 1 out of 4 games now... LA shouldn't bend over backwards for him. One year at 3 or 4 million is plenty.

I actually think this is a downgrade if the Lakers don't keep Fisher. I don't know if you guys noticed, but Fisher doesn't miss shots. Like ever. Its infuriating. He also has a lot of friends in the reffing department. He gets to murder  people on D and flop all the time. That makes Blake a weaker defender than Fisher by default (he can't get away with the same crap). Blake might be better on offense but his net plus minus I think will be lower than Fisher's. Fisher gives a little to a medium on offense and a little to a medium on defense. Blake gives a medium on offensive but is a subtraction on defense. Feel me?
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.
