I think this signing should be judged on whether it is enough to convince LeBron James or Dwyane Wade to join or not.

If it is enough, then great, it's a good move.

If it is not enough, then I think the Knicks would have been better off re-signing David Lee at a lower price tag.
I'd love to pick up David Lee for Rasheed's deal and a pick, but I don't see that happening with so many teams with cap space. Lee will have better options.

It will be interesting to see Amare's numbers in NY sans Nash.

It will be very interesting to see what the Knicks do next.  I think they need to turn to address the PG spot.  They could bring back Duhon (I haven't read whether they want to or not) but they definitely need a starting PG.  I wonder if they try to overpay Steve Blake or Jordan Farmar.
Celtics fan for life.

It doesn't sounds like this is a done deal just yet. ...more of an insurance plan for both sides.

If I were a Knick fan I'd be a little disappointed that this was the biggest name I got. It'll be interesting to see what happens next though before judging.

Now all they need to do is sign and trade for Joe Johnson, and they are putting together Phoenix East minus Nash.

One more reason to be glad Rondo resigned when he did.  I could see NY going after Rondo as that up tempo PG.

Amen to that. I wonder if the Suns keep Nash or blow everything up. I think they should trade him to NY for some combination of a trade exception, Chandler, future pick, etc. I prey they won't trade him to LA.

Phoenix should just blow it up IMO.  They made a mistake when they committed to Nash last year.

Except they were almost as good the year they lost Amare to injury.

If I were the Knick's I'd bring in Steve Blake.  I thought Blake did a great job when he was the starting point for the Blazers and I feel that he is way better than Farmar.

The Knicks want a pg that can really get up and down the floor, that is not Duhon or Blake.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Good point I didn't think of D'Antonio and his offensive system when saying they should get Blake.  Idk who they should get then lol.

I think they will keep Sergio Rodriguez, then make a play for either Will Bynum, one of the laker guards, Livingston, or Childress. there are a few PG/Combo G, that are out there.

Exactly.  If this does go through, I believe it will be based on both Amare and the Knicks assuming that signing Amare will be a draw to get Lebron.  Kind of like when getting Ray Allen changed KG's mind about Boston.  If it doesn't work out that way, I think both Amare and the Knicks will be disappointed.

Its hard to say they made a mistake when last season they were a few kobe bryant eruptions away from being in the finals...

They were never getting past LA or us for that matter and I think they overachieved last season.
