Also, let's not forget that had it not been an ankle injury, Bradley was supposed to go mid lottery. This was a true steal by Danny.

Agree, kg. The most frequent comparisons I saw on all the mock drafts was to Monta Ellis (explosive first step and quickness and a deadly midrange game and not being afraid to take it to the hole) only with much better defense. Sounds like a steal to me. Can't wait to see him and RR on the break together or paired with Nate against a smaller SG (he has a long wingspan for his height which makes him play taller) or with TA, where Bradley can harass the crap out of out of almost any point guard. And he will only get better at this going against RR in practice. Both are ultra-competitive and cocky. Sparks will be flying, but in a good way.

That mid-range pull-up jumper looks pretty legit to me. Considering the Celtics offense feeds off a lot of picks and screens, opponent defenses will not be able to play Bradley the same way they play Rondo while giving him an open jumper.

Mock drafts frequently compare prospects to good or quite decent players. In this case, Monta Ellis comparison is a praise to Avery. Looking forward to seeing him play. If he is really nba-ready on defense, Doc should play him at least a little bit. If not, good luck trying to crack rotation with Doc, we all know his history with young guys, specially since having a veteran team put up together.

Yes, didn't mean Bradley would replace TA. Rather, that while they're roughly the same size, I would still 100% look to re-sign TA.

One of the things I think is largely over looked with TA is that he is one of those guys who's incredibly strong for his weight. I don't know if you knwo what I mean, but if you've ever played against a guy who's 20 pounds lighter than you but who shoves you all over the place...

You watch TA, even when he collides with big men going to the hole, the big guys are usually the ones going the opposite dierection after they run into TA.

He's a like a free safety, physically.

What makes that so valuable, in my book, and actually for TA as well, is that that charactersitic let's him hang and bang defensively with guys much bigger and taller than because they can't move him around too easily.

With guys like Avery or similar, while roughly the same height, they don't have the physical strength like TA.

I think TA will re-sign and I've very interested in seeing he and Bradley on the court together at some point when Bradley is up to speed.

Totally agree. I was looking over pre-draft measurements and I found that TA did 17 reps on the bench press (185 lbs I think) while Avery Bradley only did 2.

I think that's a legitimate observation about TA and Bradley does have a less solid body type, but to be fair TA was 22 when he was drafted, not 19.  Three years is a substantial difference at that age.

Ok now I'm worried. That clip contained about 300 dunks and 1 jumper.

Dunking is not a skill that translates to the NBA. Maybe to And 1 "basketball" but not the NBA. If you don't believe me go ask Harold Minor and Gerald Green.

I was thinking the same thing although that appeared to be mostly from his Sr year in high school.  I would suspect my high school clips are made up predominantly of dunking...
He's going to need some time either way to become acclimated to playing against men.  Hopefully the comments I've read about his mid range game on are point and he can be a nice reserve some time down the line during his rookie season.

AB needs to add 15-20 pounds of muscle to get a chance to be SG. He would not lose much of his quickness or athleticism in the process.

I don't get the mentality to have been be the 2nd pg on our team when clearly he is starting skill material. He is not the tallest SG but at about 6'2-6'3 he would be like Gilbert Arenas, Rodney Stuckey, D wade. You can't say they can't be SG's

I hope Ray Allen gets good money somewhere else and we can resign Tony Allen and Nate Robinson to have a backcourt that looks like

Rondo - Robinson
Bradley - T. Allen

Really good defense game in and game out and more consistant offense. Tired of Ray Allens Streakyness

He's more slight like Stuckey, but Stuckey's got several inches on him.  Wade and Arenas are taller too--and 30-35 lbs heftier, built more powerfully.

But I agree, the 2 is his future.
