I am going to make a prediction that everyone can hold me to.

He will be the best player the Celtics have drafted since Rondo.

Just to be clear, that means better than BBD, Powe, Erden, Hudson, Walker, Giddens and Harangody, IIRC.

I know that's not saying much but before that I think he'll also be better than Banks, TA, and Gomes too.
let's not forget Pruitt, try as you may

D West?  If hes better than Delonte I will be happy.  Now the real question is can he be better than Al Jeff.  Doubtful....but not impossible.

It's good that we got his contract signed as soon as we could.  Does that mean we can use him as a throw-in in a Sheed-centered trade now?

Toss him to New York along with a future 1st in a Sheed for David Lee move.

Nope, this actually means we almost certainly won't trade him.  Before he was signed, we could trade his rights.  Now, we need to wait (I believe) 3 months before trading him.

Really? Bummer.  Does that 3 month rule apply to signed rookies?  I thought it was for signed free agents.

Yep, it applies to signed rookies.

One reason, I think, Danny signed Bradley *now* rather than waiting is to remove his name from talks. With him off the table until December, he isn't going to be a "sticking point" in a trade where the other team (GS?) wants him as part of the deal and we won't give him up.

The other reason probably has to do with the scope on his ankle. It might make a difference on insurance and such if he is under contract when the operation occurs.

Yeah, I think this probably is all because of the surgery.  My guess is his agent said he wouldn't allow him to go under the knife until he was under contract, and Danny didn't want to play hardball and delay his rehab.

Hey guys, I just finished writing my article on the Bradley signing for my site. Not trying to promote my site, as it's now even live yet, but since you are all C's fans here, would this style of writing attract you guys or do I need to go in a different, more non-biased direction?

Right, and now that dovc is back...well bradley and harogoudy can be room mates in Maine....!  Two words..."Red- Claws"....or "The Bench"......but it will only be for two years...or until anothet team shows an interest in them...in the mean time, the clets will sign some stiffy    ( mikki moore), scal...and play them until they are dead, or prove to the whole world that they don't want to get any better....!

actually, i will go out on a limb a bit and say that within 2 years everyone on this board will be raving about the pick of bradley at 19 and singing ainge's praises once more.

based only on write ups, videos, etc it is hard to speak with much authority, but this kid looks to be very good. his athleticism reminds me of tony allen before injuries mounted up. tony would soar to put back rebounds and harass opposing players with his defense.

right now i imagine bradley to be a slightly shorter tony allen with a lot more IQ, a much better jump shot, and more speed.

in college bradley shot 37.5% from 3 point range. if he can develop a solid 3 point shot as a celtic, we will all love him....assuming he fixes his free throw shooting.

here's hoping i am right for a change.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Exactly! I think Bradley is a HUGE steal, as he is BETTER than Wall, just he was used wrong. I think Bradley, although undersized, can jump right in Ray's starting spot and produce immediately. Everyone will disagree, but that's just my opinion.

Maybe, but wasn't walker the same.....BUT, he never got to play, because.......DOC will not try anything like that, he puts the guy in, one mistake and he is out, benched for a year.......The only guy doc did play was rondo, but that is diff because the pg is a more focused position and we were really doing a tryout for that spot, west, rondo, and a few others at the same time....he HAd to work it there, no pg, no game...! shooting guards forwards and centers, we have some very good ones, but as we found out, you NEED a plan B in case of injury...that is why you develop these guys sept, oct, nov dec to see what they can do, if given a lot of playing time, and please do not mention practice, practice is good, but it doesn't at all compare with game time...two diff worlds...! Playing against your own teammates is nothing like playing the other team for real.
