The Suns increased their offer to Channing Frye from $25M over five seasons to $30M, which was accepted.

Frye had been holding out on accepting Phoenix's lesser offer under the hope a team with cap space would strikeout on their prime targets.

RealGM Note: Frye agreed to a $3.8M deal last summer with the Suns over two seasons with an opt out after the first.

Well at least Frye is somewhat deserving of this contract, he's better than Drew Gooden who was paid similar money

That is an awful contract. That is going to be an irritation for years to come.

Really? For which side?

I figured Frye was an MLE-er, or just under. They guy can spread the foor, but wont give you much inside.

Why? He's great in that system and is only 27.

I am surprised folks like that deal for Phoenix. Frye is a liability defensively + a liability on the boards + is strictly a stand still shooter offensively. He doesn't contribute anywhere near enough to be worth $6 million per annum.

I think Frye is worth only half of that amount to the Suns.

Looks like the c's were interested in frye..

WojYahooNBA Frye listened to Chicago, Boston and others, but ultimately wanted to stay with Steve Nash Once Suns pushed to $30 million, it was easy

Would have been a good fit, but wouldn't give him the full MLE. Hopefully Brad Miller can be had for the vet min and provide much of the same that Frye would have

Thank God, I didn't want here. Soft, can't rebound, 3 point chucker. If didn't go to Phoenix and they didn't let him start throwing up 3's, he'd be out the league by now.

I have no interest in watching Phoenix East, like NY.

I wouldn't want him here either. Last thing the Cs need right now is a "big man" who floats around the three-point line. And on that note, Danny Ainge, if you're reading this, stay away from Brad Miller! Please!
