Wow that's a lot of money for Gooden, that's how you screw up your cap flexibility.

Well the Bucks were doing a lot of things right lately. A move like this was inevitable from them.

Bucks are spending a LOT of money lately, especially for a small-market team.  Maybe they're thinking they'll be even more revenue sharing in the new CBA, I don't know...  but I can't see too many other teams that would throw that much $$ at Gooden, or willingly take on Maggette's contract.

He is one of my top 5 least favorite players and it's because he is horrible. You can thank the Milwaukee Bucks for overpricing mediocre free agents when the Celtics can't find the money to sign a quality role player.

Pretty much my thoughts too.  Well, you knew someone would get itchy to do something...

This makes no sense.... at any level. Gooden is an average bench player at best. 5 years? Jesus

For those of you wondering this contract will run until gooden is age 34, if not older cause of a lockout. I would love to be paying 6 million a year to a 34 year old gooden.

  • 'Cause there ain't no fours!
Wow, I can't figure this one out.  Well, I guess I understand why that brought Drew Gooden in, as a PF that can stretch the floor to go along since Bogut's post presence.  But the money and years makes no sense at all.  They were better off making strong moves towards younger forwards (Tyrus Thomas anyone?) to run alongside Brandon Jennings... Shame, the Bucks had been piecing things together nicely.  What are the odds Salmons comes back?
