would it be The Newark Nets acquiring LBJ, Ray and CB4?

Devin Harris
Ray Allen
Lebron James
Chris Bosh
Brook Lopez

Never gonna happen, LBJ will never go to the Nets, that hype was two years ago and it was based on his big friendship with Jay-Z, but that ship is sailed. I don't know where LBJ will go Knicks, Heat or Bulls, but he won't walk through Nets door I can tell you that. Chris Bosh want to play with Dwyane Wade, he'll go to Miami that's pretty much it, and Devin Harris is not a Net, the deal is not going to be announced by I don't what date of July, but Larry Bird traded Danny Granger for Devin Harris and some other players the night before the draft. They just can't announce it like the Bulls - Wizards thing with Kirk Hinrich

Sheed comes back for the rest of his contract and plays like the regular season last year.
KG's rehab has already peaked.
Perkins doesn't come back.
Pierce demands and gets 18 million per for 4 years, each a step slower.
Allen demands and gets 10 per for three years but shoots like in the finals.
Brad Miller gets the MLE for 3 years but is slower than a sloth.
Nate gets 5 million per for 3 years and goes back to indiscriminate bombing with his new found security.
Tony resigns for 3 years at 4 million per and reverts to his brain-fart ways or just breaks.

God I can't go on, it's just too painful.

No one knows where lebron is going but ruling out the nets is dumb.

Lebron wants to become a billionair/ Icon  which makes Prokorov or Cuban his best options.  Jay Z adds alot to this point for Nets. Now that Dirk is signed the mavs are out.

New Jersey  will move to brooklyn and have the NYC effect on his goal of being an icon.

He wont go to miami cause he will be in the shadow of wade and thats not gonna work for him.

IT really comes down to chicago and jersey in my opinion. (not counting cleveland)

Championships will come for him once kobe leaves wherever team he goes to.

I don't think the Nets are able to do that financially. They only have $30.7 million in cap space. They still have to move another contract (Humphries) just to be able to sign a second max contract player.

They cannot afford to sign Ray Allen. Well, I suppose they could trade their prospects for him. A Favors, Williams and James trade would allow them to offer Ray a starting salary of over $8 million per annum. Or trade the prospects to another team in return for cap space + future picks and then sign Ray.

Anyway, I don't think it has any chance of happening. Too many things need to happen and getting value for their prospects would be extremely difficult.

this is exactly what I've been saying for the past 6 months.  Nets have the draw of their move to Brooklyn to entice Bron.  He's be a new icon for a part of NY that's been looking for a hometown hero to idolize since the Dodgers left town.  the marketing opportunities would rival or outdo what he could get with the Knicks.

If you want to look at it in a positive way: the Celtics will have one less team to worry about if Wade/Lebron join forces.
