Jw whether people on here believe that if we bring back the Big Three and say fill out our bench with a Brad Miller, a wing, and others.

I think it would depend on our health, who we add, and where the other free-agents go.

It's definitely a maybe.  All three could digress, or Ray could stay where he's at and we could actually see Paul and KG improve if PP can get over nagging injuries and KG's knee is another year stronger (and no, I'm not suggesting we're going to see pre-injury KG, but simply something in between what he was then and what he was this past season).

Add at a scoring wing and a big and I think we still can.  But it's a lot of IFs.

I'm of the firm belief that these guys would have won the title if they had home court in the finals. If they take the regular season seriously and stop being afraid of injuries that cannot be avoided (injuries happen, whether they try to avoid them or not)they can most certainly win it.

Let’s say that even if we were to re-sign all of our free agents and sign another big on the MLE, we would still be further away than last season due to the aging of the Big Three, unless Rondo is able to develop a more consistent free throw and jump shot.

Maybe ... it's really too early to say. We need to know what the other top teams in the East look like before being able to answer this.

Yeah, and we need to rebound better.

Without the billion offensive boards in the first half of game 7 we'd have been up enough to probably hold on. We were [dang] close as it was.

NO! Our window shattered in my opinion. Let Pierce and Allen walk, Trade KG to the Mavericks to free up even more cap space. Start our campaign of enticing the Dwight Howards, Kevin Durants and Carmelo Anthony's for the upcoming free-agent classes. In the process we would see if Rondo is indeed a top-tier point gaurd with other worldly attributes and talents to carry a team without 3 hall of famers taking pressure of him. And we dont over pay aging stars past their primes which I do believe all 3 of our guys are sapped and former shells of themselves. Pierce is not a every night lock to produce anymore, and fell asleep for hald the games in the finals because he cant bring it every minute of the game anymore. Let them go, Pierce to go the Clippers to play with Blake Griffin and his dear friend Baron Davis. Or he could opt to play in Miami with Wade and Boozer or Bosh and a caoch he respects Pat Riley. Ray to Cleveland or Chicago to play with Lebron James. And KG could go play with Dirk in Dallas with another team that would be on the cusp of something great if he were to join the Mavericks. Be keeping them would be a BIG problem after this upcoming 2010 season being we wouldnt be able to rebuild for years to come if we keep Pierce and KG on the books at 35 and 36 years old. I believe this is the fastest way to rebuild honestly.

If Perk didn't get injured you mean.  I completely agree with you on that and I think most Celtic and knowledgable NBA fans do.

Perkins being out hurt us, but Sheed also played inspired ball in that game.

I don't think its fair to say with Perkins we'd win Sheed was big for us in how we scored.

We would have still had Sheed for our scoring and I'm sure he would have played just as inspired with a healthy Perk.  Along with that Sheed scoring wouldn't have been needed as much because our rebounding and defense would have been  with Perkins in the lineup.

We were up 3-2 on the verge of 18 with Perk healthy and Perk goes down and we still almost win without him.

With Perk we are champions.  UGH it hurts to much to be talking about this love.

Love ya Perk get better man!

Delusional fans. It's easier said than done. As if there is a magical solution to contend in the future. Even if you shed salary, its doesn't guarantee anything.

Keep the ship together. Window is open & the Wind is gushing in. I think Celtics will have an opportunity to be the deepest team in the NBA if Ainge plays his cards right. It'll be a lot easier for Ainge to get young player via trade this season than years past. There are more than one franchises in financial flux, and would be happy to shed salary. I'd try hard to trade Sheed for younger pieces.

Step one-I'm lobbying to partner up with GSW or Sac-Town. They got too many Pieces that are useful to them.

Step two- Doc can influence M. Miller to sign here. Use Ko****y card on Shaq, and see if he wants to sign here for the minimum

Step three-Rondo & Baby will need to make another jump next season.

Step four-Championship.

What kind of trade can we do with them?

Wow, so far I'm the only one that thought we could get it done with the return of Ray, Paul and the pick up of 2 free agents.

A roster of the following is still a top 3-4 favorite for the title:

Rondo
Allen
Pierce
Garnett
Perkins
------
Bradley
Allen
Miller/Outlaw/Korver/Redick/Butler/Wright/etc.
Davis
Shaq/Miller/B.Wallace/etc.

No I and many others still believe we can get it done.

On one condition.

Depending where the other free-agents go.  If LeBron and Bosh go to Chicago idk if we can beat them, but there is a reason we play the games. So ya never know.
